I'm talking about the magic world. I'm not sure why I would need to go to unexplored chunks to find the ars magica mobs but I have been seeing some of them in the unexplored chunks of the magic world, just not the mages. I honestly cant remember if I've seen the new mobs in chunks that have been explored before we got ars magica though

In my single player test world I tried the spawn eggs for the mages and they worked just fine, so I guess the mages are just really rare even at mage level 25 and there are no entity ID conflicts.

ps. is the server down, or am i having problems at my end again?

roo, next time you're on could you chuck the spells i lent you in to one of my chests please :)

woot just been informed that my new modem has arrived at home
so with any luck i may have new internet setup this evening and can get down to doing proper work on the servers :D
 
monkey or yrthilian, I had a bit of an issue tonight, ended up getting stuck in some lava, got out before I died, ran to a good open area and proceeded to die, got back to where I died in about 30-45 seconds all my stuff had gone and just some random grave marker there instead?

I didn't think items despawned that quickly?

Not sure what mod is causing that. Will take a look at it tomorrow, if you let me know what you lost I can re-fund it for you :)

Cheers, I thought it was a bit odd :s If it helps I was in the digger world at the time I died, then used a linking book back to there.

Umm main things were nano Armour, jetpack, advanced lappack, diamond drill and diamond sword, can sort the other bits out easily myself :)

oh and a tier 3 zombie shard, not sure if you spawn those though..

There is certaintly something weird going on with the death's.

Died earlier whilst I was messing about with some water testing something, the grave spawned and the proceeded to throw out about 6 stacks of heads.... Not sure if this is normal or not?

It's forge essentials adding the beacons and heads it was part of the latest update going to look further in to it later on. Apparently it's accessible by the person that died there for 300 seconds then once the timer is up it's accessible by all now as we are still setting up all the cfg's for essentials (there are loads of them) chances are it's not working properly. If you go back to that spot and hang around a bit you should be able to crack it open and get your stuff back.

yep currently it is and it's not coming back up until we find the cause -

there was myself on along with tony, howrandom and yourself if you could do me a favour and in single player quickly re-create the last thing you did before it went down to see if the client crashes so as we have an idea of the cause.

I have re-created what I did in SP and it seems fine as far as i can tell

Had just finished building a tree farm using steves carts, was running fine for half an hour before I logged off, during that time i was just clearing some dirt and trees, space for a new building.

re created the farm in SP, tried breaking a few things, and messing about with the cargo manager/distributor. Everything was fine and running ok for a good 15 minutes :)
