nothing changed :(. My build is basically screwed all thanks to that Piece of **** mod gregtech now lost 1000s of hours worth of work. I never liked gregtech much in the first place as it makes the game feel like an endless grind but now I purely hate that mod.

Nutty if it comes to it you will have an admin slave to replace the lot manually.
you will not have to loose the stuff. I hate this is happening and want to resolve it asap.


I am also thinking gregtech may get removed with the amount of issues it has been giving recently

Honestly mate so much stuff has gone I don't see how this would be possible, Every one of my chests has gone including all items. All my machines have gone my buildings look like bombs have hit them. Even working 24hours none stop would not be able to replace it all.

Edit: btw what version of mc edit did you try as the one linked below has some mod support

Yrth. Can you let me know which region file (or files) is in need of fixing? If we can put up the unmodified version and allow someone to download it they may be able to find a way to fix it without losing quite so much stuff.
 
When was the last backup made (I think about 1 week ago)? Would it be possible to replace the region files with last backup? I would still lose a lot but I would have a better idea of what blocks I am missing making it easier to replace.
 
I'll deffo have a look at fixing it without deleting everything if that's the case French. I had it before on a small tekkit server i was running where there was a problem with buildcraft and EE2 that i managed to fix with minimal damage.

Just logged in and destroyed my spawner system to prevent server crash. Reason being is the damage broke all the red wiring and 5 mob spawners going at once constantly not good idea. so add another 10 blocks to the right of the highlighted box.

Just logged in, I had placed [Private] signs on my chests when i try to open it i can not any more, Lockette says "This container has been claimed by ." so at the moment unable to get any of my stuff :(

Can a admin help me with this issue?
 
I can't help on any issues but I just wanted to let people know that upon finishing the site redesign I will also be launching a new super-minimalist vanilla server. Mod server will stay as is (I don't know yrth's plans for it).

I doubt many of the previous admins will be around for the vanilla server but it will have decent anti-grief tools.

I miss how motivated people used to be. When I first joined a linktart server there was a huge city at spawn, rail networks to different builds etc, I lost hours just exploring around and taking in peoples builds. Some were so big you had your own plots to take within them. It'd be great if we could encourage that again, I love the mod servers (I'm a tech-path junkie) but it's a lonely experience with people prefering to build in their own area. I think the key is encouraging community builds/villages etc.
 
I used to enjoy it more when the game was focused on building, collecting resources and team work. Granted, Mohjang took a bit of a different direction with the game, and the new stuff was cool-ish but took away from the initial attraction of the game for me. Even the food mechanic kinda sucks in my eyes. I'm sure there are old versions of the game knocking about somewhere if I really wanted to play it.

But, Vanilla server, latest game, I'd be up for. Just need a few motivated players (I can be quite active as I've just finished college for the summer) and we could make some pretty cool stuff and have some fun.
 
Ok so regards Nuttys exploded area :P

MCedit does not support modded blocks and changed the block to vanilla block
that is why nuttys area got changed so much the first time. I have manage to get a new version of mc edit but not sure this will work correctly will test in a few moments as i have my laptop in work today and it can handle what needs to be done.

This time i will only be working on the region files for nuttys build so server should be fine.

regards the lokkett signs i will temp disable lokkett players will need to break the signs and i will re enable it.

Nutty sorry i know this is a pain for you and i promise to get it sorted asap

Thanks Yrth I know yer working hard on it if anything I can do to help give me a shout (steam probably fastest way). If you dont have much luck with Mc Edit could be worth looking at the latest backup done on the 16th I think it was and restore the region file/fiels that way.

yeah i am looking at that as the fall back for you nutty
i have to make sure i have the right region files before uploading them
and killing another build :P

MC edit support says it wont work but 1.7.1 marks blocks differently so may get away with it i have to just find a way to select that one block/cable
if i can get it without breaking the world then we will be sorted.

Also i just found out there will be only 3 on the support desk today including me
out of a team of 7 so may end up being very busy. but hey i can multi task ;)
 
Is it possible to get the LiveMap regenerated ? I sadly moved and did a spawn and now i can not find my house.

As it seems /home as been reset :( and i can not remember for the life of me where i put it haha.
