Heskey is looking quite likely to go seeing as he's left Carlton Cole out. He likes a big man with Rooney. I'd be happier with Bent, Crouch, Defoe and Rooney myself. But there's no target man in there.

I'm surprised Young didn't get in.

My 23 would be :

Goalkeepers

Joe Hart, David James, Robert Green

Defenders

Leighton Baines, Jamie Carragher, Ashley Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Glen Johnson, Ledley King, John Terry

Midfielders

Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Scott Parker, Ashley Young

Forwards

Darren Bent, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Wayne Rooney

Young should be there instead of Wright-Phillips for me. Other than that I can't really complain with that squad. Surprised that Carragher is in there too but at least he is an experienced head if he does make it into the final squad :)

Brazil or Spain for me to win this WC...cant really see England getting past the QF's at least.

Still have Brazil as out and out favourites.

im surprised j cole got in. he is a good player but hasnt really found form or had a long run in the team this season. hopefully he will show his quality in the fa cup final.

Heskey.........................................................villas 3rd worst performer this season after downing and sidwell.

I'm not a huge Young fan but he's got to be picked ahead of SWP and Walcott. Capello clearly just doesn't rate him.

As for Carra; you've got to assume he'll go now after coming out of retirement. Also, other than Johnson, he's the only possible RB named in the 30.
