** Official omg I just got my 5870 thread **

I dont know how meny times i have to say this,

ALL CARDS CURRENTLY OUT ARE ATI REFERENCE MODELS

5850 and 5870 cards can be software GPU/MEMORY volt modded.
and if you flash the asus cards bios to yours you can use there tweaking software if that floats ya boat :)

good news about these cards is you can software volt mod the memory now where by on the 4890s you could only software volt mod GPU....

Man hurry up cards LOL still not here yet heh

How do you know all cards are generic ?

My sapphire 4890's would allowed for core and memory adjustments.

You going to be drooling over that sticker when its upside down in your case, by all means drool away lol

extra year warantee is cool though :) but i have read reports of how uberly slow there RMA/ Warantee service is :p

Just run Resident Evil 5 benchmark and got the same score (95-96fps) as with my GTX280 albeit running 8x FSAA with the 5870 (1920*1200 res).

I'm guessing the benchmark is somewhat CPU limited even with i7@4ghz.

Dont know where you have been getting your information from but your wrong.
the pcb on the 4890s did not i repeate did not come with volterra memory ics or there for the volterra chip didnt link to the memory voltage.

the only way was hardmodding.

and the only other card i can think of that has memory and core adjustments was the 285 ROG asus Nvidia card.

get me proof becuse i think im 99% sure your wrong.
