Why, the reviews I've read show that SLI GTX285's pretty much match Xfire 5870's for £200 or so less?
Nope it's GT200B cores in the 295 same as the 285 I just read.
run 3d mark vantage again scored http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=1437453 will go for 18k should be np. with a bit of tweaking.

That says 5850?
And it's the GT200b in the GTX260 and the GTX275 as well. The GTX295 is a pair of GTX275s with lowered clocks.
It has the same number of shaders per GPU as the GTX285 and GTX275, but the memory interface of the GTX260 and GTX275. Therefore it's considered to be a pair of underclocked GTX275s.
The MARS edition however is a pair of GTX285s

Got to say it is huge, biggest card I have every owned. Weighs a ton also.
I think we will see the odd person disappointed today when they find the card doesnt fit their case.[/QUOTE]
nice. post back with some benchies/impressions :D
Daz- WoW is CPU limited as much as GPU limited; the I7s just work better with it. The core engine of the game is almost a decade old, and offsets a lot of work a modern game would do on the GPU, to the CPU.
No doubt your 5870 will run faster; but WoW wont show its potential
@TomNBK - The latest expansion is much harder on your graphics card than the game used to be; it does actually require a decent GPU to get the most of nowadays, at least on high settings.
