It's rarity/bragging rights. 2 x Asus mars is the only way to get 4 GTX285s in one box. It's a complete waste of money IMO, but I think the GTX285 is as well (Currently very happy with a pair of GTX275s in SLI). Anyway this isn't an Nvidia thread.

This card really does look ******* awesome... I think I will wait a few weeks and then pick one up, it should perform well even on my ageing E6600. Or sod it maybe i'll just do a full upgrade.

when it all arrives i will go lock myself in the comms room at work and build it up

ive done the measurements and even bought a 20mm thick fan incase i need that extra 5mm clearance

I stand corrected - I recently learned that a boggo 295 is NOT two 285s on one PCB - thats the Mars bar.
