I wouldn't agree with that. I've been on over the past few days & although I don't doubt it has its issues, which it certainly does, unplayable 90% of the time is a bit extreme.
I'd have said 30% of the time at most, but I guess it depends on what you're doing in-game / size of fights you are involved in.

Yeh my bad, probably just raging because it CTD during a great fight. Well here is a fps fix, worked great for me, solid 50-80fps in fights.
Step 1: locate - C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\PlanetSide 2 Beta
You can also find this folder through the launcher's "advanced tools" -> open game directory
or; right-click your PS2 shortcut -> open file location
Step 2: find a file called "UserOptions" and open it in notepad
Step 3: find the command "RenderDistance" and change the -1.0000 into a number of your liking (in meters).
I set it to 1000 meters which doesn't impair my play at all and gives me about 60 FPS more in fights. Up to 200 FPS in the warpgate area
Step 4: make sure you saved the config file and start up the game
Step 5: enjoy

This sort of thing is exactly why we have NDA's, I know for a fact that others have been playing for weeks without a single crash.

Crashing lots for me as well.
I really don't think it's my kind of game, I like the idea, but futuristic stuff doesn't do it for me and so far it's not impressed me a great deal. I know it's a beta but it's just not for me.

Its a different game when played tactically with an Outfit, don't write it off just yet.
This. First time I played PS1 when even at the time the gunplay etc of it was shoddy - I was thinking what the hell is this... then I found myself caught up in some mass armored column heading to a base which you could see in the distance had a swarm of liberators levelling the place... it instantly sold itself in that moment as a legendary game.

. This is down to my graphics though i suspect, im going to give it 2 weeks to see if they can improve it enough and if not i guess ill have to look into a new laptopFelt that last night.
We were holding the Crown (NC) and in the distance 5 TR Vanguards, couple of Sunderers, 3 Gals with supporting Libs/Reavers were heading our way.
It got a bit manic but we Repelled the Oppressors

Sam I set mine to -1.0000 & it almost doubled my fps, so try -1.000 for your laptop if you haven't already.
Quick, get on to the devs and get everyone banned?

Cheers fella ive got it set to -500 which makes it playable in a 1024x768 window on my laptop
Looks like im going to need to order a new one
