Same. I enabled Ultra textures and along with the last two patches, I rarely go below 40. Big fights are now 45-60 whereas before it was 30-45.

Wait.... you have to subscribe to this game?
You don't have to but you get xp and cert boosts if you subscribe, a few bits and bobs and 500 station cash a month.
How comes?
Well it's happening so all we can do is play the balls off it now - apart from all the bugs with it my only issue is how the meta game feels a bit rushed in and very lack luster; you get no sense of having locked anything down, you just get a natty resource cost reduction but everything carries on as usual... but Higby did say they have bigger plans for meta, they're just waiting to get more continents in first

I hope so, this put me off the first game, it was all just so pointless long term.

Nobody HAS TO subscribe, it just gives you a boost in the amount of resources and certs you gain as you play and a tiny amount of station cash each month which is handy if you plan on playing only a few hours a week etc
If you don't pay you still get access to EVERYTHING the paying customers do. You have to remember, subscribers are going to be a good source of revenue for SOE, which will allow them to continue bringing content such as more continents, vehicles, weather effects etc
Looks a lot better and will not affect performance in your spec, might actually improve performance like it did for mine.

Locate a file called useroptions.ini, open with wordpad or something and change texturequality to 0.
I only had a chance to play 20 minutes of it last night after installing and it left a good impression, i hadn't expected that. Made a character, spawned in to the game and rotate the camera to get a look at the surroundings... and am getting shot at straight away, people in jets flying over head, lots of fighty war noises in the background. Took some pot shots back at the muzzle flash shooting at me then wandered over to what looked like a nearby friendly base. In i go looking at all the glowy consoles and wander up the stairs thinking i'm completely safe to see someone crouching by what i assume was a capture point, shot him and went up some more stairs and was killed by 3 people i ran into at the top. That was all i had time for.
It was confusing as hell and i had absolutely no clue what i was supposed to do but weirdly i loved being just dumped right into the middle of things off the back of creating the character. It brought a grin to my face that i doubt being funneled through a tutorial would have. The rest of the game might be crap for all i know but enjoyed the initial impression.
Edit - seemed to run smooth with settings maxed @ 1080p on a 7850, not that i really saw much to judge properly.

How is it any different to Alpha Squad? which has been around for ages - also gives boosts to cert gain, station cash and other goodies...

Spent a lot of time on Amerish and ran a few benchmarks using fraps. All have a max of 120-140 and average ranging from 63-75fps.
Min fps varies. Some are as low as 7fps but not once tonight did i feel any kind of lag, epecially 7fps lag lol.
Must be a loading screen or something? Dead chuffed my 670 plays this well. I kind of bought it for PS2

Stealth classes with shotguns.
