Really not sure how to fix this. My brother downloaded it through Steam, we created him an account on SoE. When he logged in it said that the account wasn't going to work and he had to go to another website to download the client, download the client and it just crashes all the time... Steam one worked fine but the other one just crashes. Anyone else had similar? Pro Sieben or something it has on the site.
ProSieben are running the accounts for all new EU players.
If the person had a PS2 account before launch (i.e. they were in the beta) they are allowed to keep their account with Sony or switch to ProSieben if they prefer.
They've had some issues tonight with servers and accounts but will get it sorted soon. Just like any other MMO launch, there's always issues

I heard performance has 'doubled' (according to TB) since beta, can anyone say different?
I wouldn't say doubled. His comment probably came when the servers were still filling up but there's definitely been an improvement for most and lower-end machines seem to have received some love.
So you can't run a ProSieben account with steam? Well that is what the error message says
But yea when downloading the standalone version from them it just crashes after install
lol, I'm surprised you managed to do anything... or even leave the staging area (once you figured it out).
Yea it came up with some error saying you can't use this client or something. Brother can't play it on their client it crashes after he inputs his user ans password :/
Had a bit of a play myself tonight.
I tried PS1 back in the day when it wasn't free to play, but can't say I liked it, seemed to take ages to kill anyone.
Quite enjoyed my game tonight though, really did have the feel of a big battle, especially being part of a rolling tank coloumn heading towards an objective. Problem was that by the time I reached the enemy base, I was out of ammo with no idea how to rearm.
Kinda unsure how I want to spend my certs, though I have bought the basic health upgrade for each class.
Also managed to get a Galaxy stuck in a tree.

Well the Immortals have rolled on Wodman but I guess quite a few from here have gone Miller.
