*** Official Planetside 2 Thread ***

Just jumped in on this and despite putting in maybe 1000+ hours on PS1 back in 2002/03 time, i'm completely lost.

Any outfits here that are completely noob friendly, I have a headset and can download any required voice comms software.

We do - extensively. I'd say we couldn't do what we do without comms.

Having said that, if you want to jump in the channel and just listen rather than talk, then that's fine as well :-)

What are the latest ATI Drivers that work best with this game? Am i right in thinking - AMD Catalyst Drivers 12.11 BETA 8

Those drivers should be fine Sam, i'm using them and the game runs fine. There are a couple of glitches but they seem to be there no matter the hardware or drivers people use.
 
Well tonight's going to be fun. We're turning the Smurf Assault Squad into the Smurf Airforce Squadron the whole evening :D

Not everyone can fly brilliantly, but we're going to create as much damage as possible.... probably collateral :D

Yes, I believe it's a bug.

So I bought 2500 SC for $25 and saved £3 by paying in USD instead. :D

Any suggestions what I should buy with it?

I want to purchase the Rocket Pods for sure and the AP tank cannon and a secondly tank weapon.

Does the Camo add-on work for all vehicles? Or does it only work for one?

Infantry weapons wise are the Chainguns good? I never got to try them in the beta. :(

Hey mate, thinking of trying out NC as surely there must be some dev love coming their way. Youre all on miller right?

Theres a vehicle weapon pack that had rockets, tank ap and 6 other items for 2k on sale. Awesome value if you didnt already have the pods and ap like i did sigh ><

MCG is ok, was nerfed a bit at launch so no longer the death dealing machine it was before. Trial it for half an hour to get a feel.

Played a bit tonight, was good fun. Got my 7850, 24" Monitor, New Case & Keyboard coming tommorow, so will be moving all the hardware into the new rig. Then hopefully will run a lot better.

It runs well outside, but inside it slows down, taking over larger bases can be near impossible to have any chance of living.
