What Server are you on? I play as NC on Miller but am up for starting again as long as I find a good outfit.

As it stands, server population by faction determines what exp boost you get.

They are probably changing it to be Continent Population.

So if you are fighting on a continent where you are the minority force, you will get exp/resource boost to make it more worthwhile.
 
How are you guys seeing such low fps with 7950 etc I've got a 2500k @ 4.8 and a stock 580gtx with the game on a ssd and getting 50-60 most places in full on battles doesn't drop below 40! thats at 1080p and everything maxed and draw dis full!
 
PS2 is the game i've been dreaming about since I first played BF 1942/BF2 (or any game for that matter). That's the highest praise I can give it.

The sheer scale, the number of options, the tactical possibilities and the seamless teamwork ...

It's a dream, really. I think people have been spoiled and don't realise just how lucky they are and just how astonishing PS2 actually is.

clientside modifications banned. thats sweetfx and the widescreen fix I suppose.

It is vital that you not run software which modifies the Planetside 2 client in any way. If you do this, you are indistinguishable from various hacks that work in the same manner. The result of this is that you will be banned from gameplay and lose your characters/items.

We cannot make exceptions to this. We do understand there are relatively harmless apps that fall in this category, but if we allowed those they would simply be used as a shield excuse by players trying to cheat. This same rule applies to data that Planetside 2 uses for gameplay. Do not modify any of these files or attempt to modify them in memory.

There are some applications that modify the windows or directx environment without changing the client. These may also result in suspensions unless we specifically exempt them and declare them ok to use.

The most simple guidance here is do not use third party programs which change the Planetside 2 gameplay in any way unless it has been specifically cleared by SOE.

The above does not apply to user initiated *.INI changes, those are allowed, although setting your own options incorrectly can result in bugs.

Right I am buying some guns to support the game (and as I am getting pwned).

Yup seeing as the polaris itself goes for like 700SC. It's one of the better HA guns.
 
Went to grab a coffee, sat back down to see a message saying the server will shut down in 3mins 39secs... 2 seconds later "You have been disconnected". Someone at sony needs a new stopwatch :p
