hi will below pc run PLANETSIDE 2
Intel Pentium G2020 Socket 1155 Dual Core Processor
Gigabyte GA-H61MA-D2V GEN3 Rev 2.1
Corsair Memory 4GB DDR3 1333 Mhz CAS 9
550w psu
eg a 2gb gtx 560
 
I'm having problems with this game I think my cpu is bottlenecking me as my gpu usage is all over the place even with one card.

Its worst with lots of people on screen is there any way I can get this above 60 minimum with lots going on ??

In game press CTRL+F (iirc) to bring up your framerate as well as a CPU/GPU monitor.

If it shows CPU more often than GPU then your CPU is causing a bottleneck & vice-versa if GPU is showing more than CPU.

What settings, resolution etc are you running in the game?
 
New Max weapons and the Lock-Down mode is everything I could hope for, totally awesome.

Also Mutitators with extended mags is a beast! 150 rounds per weapon for a total of 300 rounds without reloading is deadly, you just don't stop firing, plus with changing the DPI to really low settings to control the recoil really helps. lol

Love the flamethrower too, can't wait to burn terrorists and alien loving scum with it and finally Brusters with Lock-Down mode is god like, don't even think about flying. :D

Going to save up my certs again and SOE can take all my money. xD
 
Can't wait till i get my SMG on my Infiltrator, sniper rifle just doesn't cut it, i end up using my pistol pretty much all the time.
 
Anyone know if we can change servers yet as EU cobalt server was empty at 4am this morning

I know there was some talk of being able to do this without losing your characters

Well, Infiltrator is in the name. You basically have a choice to an extent of sniping and picking out people to actually being an Infiltrator which is where the SMG comes into play. It reminds me of Recon in Bad Company 2.
 
After playing defiance im tempted to give this planetside a crack too, is it possible to play the game and be somewhat successful without pumping real cash into the game?

Also does it have PVE or is it all PVP?

It's all PvP. You don't need to spend any money, you can get most things with cert points earned in the game and they are mainly for preference modifications rather than straight up upgrades (such as sight choices/bigger magazines etc).

Progress will be slower obviously but as Lithon said most things are playstyle preference rather than straight upgrade. The only things you must use money for rather than certs are all purely cosmetic such as camo, decals, fancier helmets etc. Most of my friends who do go the free to play route tend to just pick up some station cash when there is a double or triple deal going and unlock some weapons with that quickly but otherwise spend no money.

Whatever you do though, join an outfit, it's much better than playing solo.

Mixture of settings really to try and smooth the frame rate in rough points, and just a 1920x1080@120hz ill check the ctrl+f later and report back bu I doubt I'm gpu limited as it can go well above 150fps if I'm on a part of the map with no one else and nothing going on lol
 
VS have been winning too many alerts lately on Woodman, I think it's high time for another warpgate rotation - the current warpgate positions for TR are not ideal.
