Don't want to even think of what I have spent what with alpha squad, membership and station cash (when it was triple). But yes you're right, I'll hold off atm, it's only really cosmetic stuff I was thinking of getting anyway and that I can live without for now :P
 
Ok I'm up to the lofty heights of BR9, still no outfit but I'm happy dodging about on my todd for now. Any suggestions on gun upgrades for a medic or should I not bother? I'm on the level 4 medic tool now, intending to save up for the last one before anything else.

Got a couple of armour upgrades but nothing fancy obviously.
 
Assuming you're still playing Vanu on Miller Halfmad.

I play NC but I'd suggest trying out the H-V45 which is the Vanu 800 round per minute assault rifle. If you fit that with an advanced laser sight and hipfire it when in close you should do pretty well. Try it out in VR training first though, and also trial it (or any other gun) by clicking unlock then click trial at the bottom of the next screen. That said if you're happy with the first gun there is nothing wrong with sticking with it, it's more about playstyle and what you're using it for than flat this is better than that.

Outfit wise, Rock Paper Shotgun's outfit seems to be pretty welcoming but decently organised, they also run events quite often so perhaps check them out? RPS PS2 Forum.

When you register with SOE and visit the Account page, you get a chance to set your account to US or UK currency (Doesn't matter if your address is UK or US). Once you made the choice then you can't change it.

I gave up my first account that I played Beta with because I set my account to UK Currency first (Was only BR7) and started a new account so I can set it too US Currency.

One thing to remember is that if you do this then you can only buy SC from the website. If you buy it within the game then all prices are in GBP and not USD. The website is always USD, also you can't use the pay by phone option since it only accepts US phone numbers.

Anyways, I don't understand why people would register with Prosieben. Everyone plays on the same server.

You joking? When weapons cost 700 to 1000 certs?

I play way too much and I can earn 100-120 certs per hour, sometimes hit 150 to 250 certs a hour when am totally owning with a Prowler/Mossy going to base to base and during the alerts and I still don't have enough certs to unlock a lot of stuff and am almost level 80+ now.

Cents are like gold, can't be wasting them on weapons when there is more value in unlocking upgrades, the only time I ever spent certs on a weapon was for my Medic and that was 250 certs when I had 3500+.

One thing I do agree with is that I wasted too much money buying my SC from SOE when I could had saved tons by buying it from eBay and forums markets.

If anyone is interested, the trim tron style lights for the tanks is bugged I believe.

I bought the lights for my Prowler tank and they don't work, they also use the same slot as pretty armour upgrades. :/
 
I spent a few quid on SC to get one of the fractures for the TR MAX when it first came out - currently trying to save up certs to get the second one. Although I've been certing into my engineer lately as I play that the most - nearly got my ammo boxes and repair tool maxed out, they're worth it though.
 
i picked up a claw pump action for my engineer but it doesnt seem to do any damage!. at first i thought i was just really lousy at the game but today i snuck up on an infiltraitor using a vehicle terminal and put 5 shots in his back from about 1 meter away whilst he was using the terminal. he just backed away from the terminal after the last shot and killed me :( my pc/internet is fine.
any ideas?
 
TR has removed the VS lock on Indar/Miller server and we have locked it ourselves after a long TRAM battle. :D

We decided to do a Galaxy crash into the VS Warpgate afterwards! There was upwards of 100+ Galaxies. (I crashed mine because the lag wouldn't let me swap to the pilot seat)

I also have about 3000 certs which I can't decide what to really spend on, I have enough now for the Max upgrades coming this week which leaves me about 650+ to spend, but nothing really screams out to me. :(

Grats TR, had some awesome fights last night and some hilarious deaths such as both me and an TR guy trying to knife each other off the top of a building, then both falling to our deaths like a pair of morons.

I love moments like that in the game.
 
Well, the VS Zoe upgrade is the most OP'ed thing ever.

Needs the speed boost removed, then it would be fine. Not fun trying to hit something that is running at warp speed side to side and abouts. Honestly thought it was going to get a cool-down like the Heavy shield.

Server disconnections every 20-30 minutes for everyone is cool too.

As I thought really, ZOE is crazy silly op, Lockdown is powerful and useful, shield is decidedly meh, 3 people shooting at you with normal small arms deplete it in like 2 seconds so how they intend for you to breach rooms with it I don't know.

Also they may as well remove NC aircraft what with Strikers, all the other lock on crap and now ZOE/Lockdown bursters, just what is the point of aircraft other than Mossies now?

Oh and what a surprise the lattice isn't the messiah that will solve all the games problems and actually removes choice... who could possibly have seen that coming. /sarcasm off

Plus Miller is still not there are a recommended server when we've had no merges, never been recommended and our pop has dropped to second lowest in the game. Perhaps I just need a break...

Dat time and dat population. Must be nice being unemployed being able to cap a continent while everyone sleeps.

Anway, you held it for what, less than 30 hours? Truely pathetic man. TR are useless when pops are equal. 4am raids and 45% pop are the only the time they get anything done.
 
Only been playing a week and a half but last night was the first disconnect I've had, very irritating as I'd just blown my Sunderer spawn when it happened!
 
I had my first disconnect in a long time last night too, probably a post-patch bug.

I also noticed something regarding the graphics settings - even though everything seems smooth on high, after dropping a lot of settings down to medium, I'm suddenly getting a lot more kills. In particular switching to sights is a lot smoother, although I didn't really notice that it was slow until I dropped the settings back a bit.

Not played against NC with their shield yet, but I was watching BuzzCutPyscho play last night and it seems he was avoiding VS since they was spamming ZOE ADADADA maxes all over.

Can't complain about the lattice system yet, I only managed to play a hour or so until I got fed up with server disconnections and the ZOE spam.

Still a lot of players in Miller though one night I noticed NC had 0% pop in Indar, zero players which allowed us to ghostcap pretty much everything their side.
 
I can see the Zoe getting a limited duration.

I will admit to rolling round Indar in a purple glowing ball of death giggling my ass off. Although it honestly felt like legitimised cheating. I kept thinking that this is what playing a hacksaw max was like.

Permanently on speedy max.
The damage buff is minor, its the speed increase that makes it so much fun. The problem with trying to balance it is that they could do various things to make it junk.
Heavily reduced speed buff. Would make it pointless as the damage increase is minor.
No damage increase, well no point buying anything above level one zoe.

Surely the only thing they can do is change the mechanic to a duration.

Mind you it may be the only thing that us VS get to combat the ever increasing TR pop.

Lockdown bursters will mean giving up on flying altogether. Maybe Ill take the disco max up to those burster max nests, with a freind or two :)
