*** Official Planetside 2 Thread ***

Loving the double XP, got my 3 day Hyper Boost working and am hitting 180% XP in some places.

Making 100-200 certs every 30 minutes and just a hour ago, I made 500+ certs in one hour. :O

Really wish I was playing when the double XP started, but I missed three days because I just couldn't get used to the smaller screen, only way I got around that was to rotate all 3 to make one giant screen, it's not as good as the TV, but it's better then before.

Some great battles going on, me and 3 others have been fireworking farming in a base on Indar against like 24+ low BR players, it's kinda sad that we was winning the fight with just Fireworks alone. lol

Is this game ok and easy to get started?

This game is very easy to get started, free to play, but obviously there is quite a bit to learn, none of which is very complicated.

I'd suggest sign up for an Soe account if you don't have one already, pick the faction you like the look of in terms of armour, colours and vehicles and make a character on the Miller server (assuming you're EU).

There isn't an Ocuk outfit but we have people posting here from all factions so someone will be able to help. One thing I will emphasise though, playing in an outfit/clan makes the game 1000 times better.

I agree to having more fun in an outfit or clan

Try COBOLT server also in EU and the RE4PERS are a good crowd to get in with

Like Qel says, it's easy to get started but make sure you only register a SOE account. (Do not use a EU one). Once you done, come join us on Miller and join TR for awesome fun.

Though it's easy to play, it's really is a pay to win game. There are lots of weapons for the classes and vehicles that I deem essential that should be unlocked and used which requires a lot of in-game certs or SC to unlock. That doesn't mean a player who paid tons of money will always beat someone who doesn't, it just allows you to do "more" with the right weapons. The time to kill in this game is very low, in-fact a lot of people complain it's too low.

You can purchase SC codes from eBay for really cheap or wait for double/triple SC days.

If you don't want to spend money, then it's a grind to save up and unlock weapons with certs that really should be used on upgrading stuff. :D

Fury got nerfed which was totally uncalled for. It already got nerfed with the low ammo and now this.

You know why it was nerfed? So they can sell you the Rocket Launchers that are coming for the Flash soon.

So yeah... upgraded. Low/Medium settings to Ultra with PhysX, just a slight difference.... Going to take some getting used to  but very pretty.

What did you upgrade? I think I need 8gb ram and an ssd for the best performance increase. Always CPU limited in the larger battles.

CPU to an i7 4770k, graphics card to a gtx 770, new mobo and ram. Game is majorly cpu limited like you say so if you have less than 8gb I guess it won't hurt and will benefit you in other games too but cpu and to a lesser extent gpu probably count for a lot more here. SSD would only improve loading times I think?

You can use an Xbox pad it works with some issues, turrets and lib belly guns don't work too well.

I have a friend who can't get his head around mouse and keys and he plays with a pad mainly
