The 'maps' are huge, as they are actually continents, and they feel that way. In the original PS there were 10 of these continents to fight over. I've not played and Tribes games, but the fact that there's three empires fighting rather than the usual two also mixes things up a little.
And the fights themselves were like nothing else. You had infantry, tanks and aircraft, all fighting together over the bases. All the factions had empire specific weapons and tanks, and it was generally balanced. The in-base fighting wasn't all that good in my eyes, but they fixed that by seemingly making the bases much better laid out, not tons of corridors in PS2.

I'm really undecided on the mask that VS medic has, I can't work out if I like it or not.

I do like this, though.

the Vanguard Hull looks awesome but the turret seems a little bit too small - but i guess that would make sense if its a 2 man crew.

Have you got a close up of the "new" Prowler? I really disliked the aesthetics of the thing but it really could chop with a good gunner.

Again, I'm not too certain on that VS infiltrator, but I prefer it to the medic. My mind just can't work out if it's cool or off. Leaning towards cool, though :D
