Your fair like the rest of us on similar specs your get great performance any time but peak time. when the game will drop to 40-45 fps no matter what you do.
Unless Malevolence sells you his one in a Billion AMD core. :rolleyes: But your have a problem there as every single pro PS2 player will be in teh que offering him thousands.

But turn fog shadows off, Set shadows to low or medium or off as there broken. Everything else you should be able to run on high but mark my words peak time it will still drop below the magic 60fps No matter what CPU you have.

My severe drops stopped when I disabled V-Sync (it's broken) and used SmoothingMaxFramerate in the useroptions.ini instead - I've set it to my monitors refresh rate (72hz) and I can't recall seeing FPS drop below 50fps unless there is a mega explosion (something like a lib crashing into a gal whose debris crashes in to a vangaurd!).

Zerg fest is TR on Miller, Vanu is under populated, NC is just fine but it seems the new players join NC.

I joined Vanu due to it being the least populated faction, unless that changed since before April.

The VS are nothing but a zerg under the leadership of DIG/T who do nothing but send 48+ platoons against everything which is about to get worst when KOTV arrives.

To be honest, this game is dying for me, it's fundamentally flawed at it's basic levels where you can't even have a fair fight without someone hitting you with magic missiles and bullets outside of render range and that enemies can magically teleport all around you because the game can't render them fast enough.

Yer im with IW. Vanu are pure Zerg especially when I play. least TR attack us with skilled squads. When I see his squad roll in I know we are up for a battle or an ass whooping.

When DIG roll in get ready for a 500 man spawn room campathon.

The issues you talk about also really starting to annoy me. Steeping forward and watching 60 people render you cant see when you step back one meter really does kill the immersion. Getting killed by something you cant even see. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I was playing this for hours every night. Now I'm only playing when my outift are doing OPS night.

It really hit me the other day how bad it was when I was at Broken Arch Road. TR was holding the base against a huge VS zerg.

I was playing solo and setup my Max in lock-down mode in the Cap building at a off-angle towards the door on the top floor, there was about 20+ other TR guys in there too.

One second, they was standing there and in a blink of a eye they was gone and standing there instead was just VS. I didn't even get to fire a single shot.

In less then it takes to blink, it was over. That's bad game-play.

Planetside 2 huge numbers is like how Virgin likes to over-subscribe a area and screw everyone with slow speeds.

Damn dude, that is impressive. There is a guy on NC called Justamockingbird he has been teaching me a few things about flash driving as I am only discovering how damn fun they are lol.

What frame do you recommend? He told me racer is the best, is that right?
 
Starting to get back into this now, a break definitely did me good though. Finished Razor Auraxium (an NC Carbine) ... what next....

I seen him in the rankings. :p

I personally think the Wraith Flash is the most fun thing in the game. :D

A other Pro Flash player once told me he uses Racer too and prefers that, but am still using Scrapper for mine. I might switch over to Racer.
 
Sweet, will stick with the racer then. I couldn't believe the things he was doing with a wraith flash with me on the back, going right through Vanu horde and killing with the S12.

It all started because of this video.


I thought it was really impressive what he did, considering we were on top of a mountain lol.

Second time he came for us, my dodgy LMB wouldn't fire rofl, ****** little Storm Xornet mouse.

Yeah, the things you can do on a Wraith Flash is nothing like anything else in PS2. The feeling and awesome moments where you are driving though enemy lines and prowling in a infantry zerg while blasting away with your shotgun or fury and running as many people over as you can and then cloaking away only for you to do the same 30 seconds later. :D

Can't beat that stuff, I had some insane moments and some awesome /tells from players both hate and good.

Wish I could record it all! Maybe soon when I get a new PC. :p
