*** Official Planetside 2 Thread ***

I've managed to fish out my old SoE account (on which I played the first PS) and signed up for the beta.

All I got back was a 'thanks for signing up' email. Don't veterans get automatically accepted or do I just need to wait for the next batch of keys? :)

I believe vets will just get it auto added to there account closer to the time.

Basically the devs have been repeatedly saying the vets + the PCG keys will be the first in, with the twitter, facebook and E3 keys coming later. If you enter a key you'll get a confirmation email for doing so but if you just have PS1 on an SOE account its just sign up and wait for an invite really.
 
Can't wait for the beta to start, planetside is one of those games I will always remember for the truly epic battles and stories that were played out every damn time you logged in! :cool:
 
Anyone logged into station lately?

Says all users need to update passwords, not sure if all is ok with it or I'm
just being too suspicious about it all
 
Yeah remember that and changed it, for some reason it wants it done again :s

No exact date but "in the next few weeks" for former Planetside subscribers and PC Gamer readers and "a couple of weeks after that" for everyone else who has a beta key.
 
Am I likely to get in if I have only just applied?

I have not played ps1, I have no pc gamer.

Just applied for the luck of the draw beta...will I get in you think, if I do it won't be for a while I take it?
 
Any spare keys going would be appreciated :)

I am a formed PS1 Beta player, I never did the subscription meaning I might miss out I guess :/
 
Reading around planetside 2 forums and reddit, it appears as though some top clans have already begun closed beta testing with in house developers from SOE. So I can't imagine the open beta being far off!

You will get in just not straight away as you will be behind the ps1 vets, pcg us/uk readers and facebook/twitter people. So if you don't mind waiting then applying through the website should get you in eventually.

Also, if anyone is either a streamer or website designer here, then I would like some help with PlanetSideTV.com.

The idea behind the site is to be the main area to see Planetside1/2 footage and streaming events and much much more.

So if you have the ability to stream gameplay, have an outfit you want to promote, a thirst for knowledge about the game, can do some modern website design or just want to play with a great bunch of guys then get in contact with me here or on the site.
