*** Official Planetside 2 Thread ***

I cannot comprehend how Grave thinks he has done no wrong by stealing

Imagine if you had paid for it and your code didn't work, how would you feel?

Sadly people of Graves disposition will probably never comprehend stuff like this, can only hope he is still a child and this being why he is so ignorant.

On topic I wish beta would hurry up! Really impatient to try this :)

Dear god can we please draw a line under this PCG code issue. If your that inclined open another thread or take it to email, just please stop it in here.

28 me..

no biggy they can get another code by sending proof of purchase to them..

i love it how you lot think its crime of the century...

Not at all, but sadly indicative of many people.

Sorry sir :(

There's always the old 'oops, didn't see you there while I was driving along in my sunderer' revenge ;)

On a related note, anyone know if the team kill punishment point system is still in?

He's already stole the keys for your sunderer. He saw them in your pocket and because they wernt nailed down inside a safe he thought it was acceptable to just take them :p:D:p:D:p

Quite easy I'd have thought, as long as the person who buys the magazine phones up for a new code and sends them the original code details. PCGamer can easily send the flagged codes to SOE to deal with. However, if SOE decide to deal with this that's another question entirely...

Apparently SOE are about to revoke any codes they get "conflicts" for - and that includes already redeemed PCG codes. I expect all those "free" pcg codes will be useless if the genuine buyer of the mag reports the conflict.

Higby said "we don't want that sort in our game" :D God I love the PS2 devs.

Can't provide proof of purchase - no beta for you :p

Yup - very similar to PS1 grief system - devs said they were happy how the PS1 system worked and see no need to change it.

Oh are you able to kill your own team?

Someone irritates you then just cap them in the head

Yup but keep accumulating "grief" points and you'll find you start to run slower, take longer to spawn, get locked out of vehicles, get your weapons locked etc as the points accumulate.

I remember day of launch on PS1... I ended up with something like a 48 hour gun ban >.>

I made a fail gunner get a lock for spamming from a base. His flail was arcing into my Phanty which was hovering over the air pad. I got repaired, he kept on getting grief. :D

How far does the mmo aspect extend?

Do you have a "base" away from battle where you can chill and buy gear etc? Do you even get better gear or do classes have set weapons regardless?

Never played ps1 so excuse my ignorance :p

Technically you're referring to the RPG element of MMORPGs, Planetside is an MMO FPS, it's basically like other FPS games in that you can customise weapons, choose classes etc. but with the extra bit of being MMO, so thousands of players.

Basically the more combat you're in, the more things you do the more experience/resource you get to unlock customisations and vehicles.
