I think this game could end up being the game of the decade, if it all works ..it seems to have everything going for it.
my only bugbear right now would be its a bit clunky, but this is alpha and I'm 100%sure that it will get better and better.
Even for a Alpha I have seen and being in games that were worse on release ..so lots of scope still
who in this thread said its a finished game? maybe I cant read because I sure don't see anyone saying its a finished game.

OK, enough of the "lols" - back to the topic at hand
Confusingly, beta hasn't started yet. They're referring to this stage as a "tech test", sort of a pre-beta to make sure that certain components or systems don't have major problems with it. That will still be a part of beta, but the main focus of the actual beta will probably be more along the lines of game balance, what happens when 300 people descend onto one facility, etc.
The current aims of the tech test is installation, patching, connection/logging in and client/server performance apparently.
Beta will open up the floodgates but if the damn can't hold the water, then there's no point opening the gates until it can.

While it may still have numerous issue, none are game breaking, and this is in alpha build, it can only get better as they move into beta, with more bugs being sorted.
