What settings/fps are people getting?

Also - logged on to find my kills have been reset but my deaths haven't... Lol.

Currently on all Medium - boxes not ticked. Roughly around 20-40fps in a fight.
 
I notice a bit of a fps drop compared to the other zones. Also a bit of a hit with doing twitchtv and for some reason twitch didnt save the recordings of me or my mate who also tried twitch. :(
 
Just downloading the update now, will see what it's like. Hopefully they will massively improve the graphics quality and performance before release.
 
I have the opposite problem, I want to get rid of the damn fog. Dont have any fps issues and even in massive fights only problem I have is disappearing players, but then I only just upgraded so would be disappointed otherwise. The fog is just ridiculous though. Everyone should have asthma.
 
I get fps drop but only in highly populated areas or when theres lots of vehicles around. Dropped to about 45fps the other day when there were around 20 tanks, quads and sunderers withing 50 meters of me. other than that it sticks at 60fps.

Highest settings and everything ticked.
 
Only time ive lagged on the game so far is when i hit page down to start recording and even then was with 20 tanks and about 30-40 people around me. part from that no lags at all. everything highest.

Also , going to be really cheeky here. anyone got a spare beta key just sitting there gathering "dust"? just gave my last spare to my dad and my colleagues son is dyeing to play it also. would appreciate it if anyone could trust me one.
 
What's a good strategy for somebody just starting out in this game? I got my Beta key yesterday and jumped right in cold. Needless to say I have spent a lot of time dying since then :|

Can anybody offer a few pointers for somebody just getting going. I have made level 2 so it's not all bad! Just mostly bad.

Which faction? and are you ok with finding your way to fights / following what is going on?

Tanks are fairly easy to rack up very high kill streaks with, however with the recent change to air make sure you're in a group as a solo tank on it's own is just rocket pod bait.
 
I went with the nerd faction and selected a European server with a high population. To be honest I'm not ok with any of that (finding my way to where there is something actually happening was a major problem).

Well first of all at your warpgate there can often be people in transports waiting for them to fill who will take you to where big fights are happening. Those people are often also in Outfits to, which I recommend you join - as these will not only tell you where the fight is going on, but if they're big enough they will probably choose where it happens.
