am a NC miller player and its pretty awsome. i am infl/eng and im in the process of getting my sundy some decent gear as well as my planes (tht i suck at but getting better, just need missiles and better flight control). is it worth gettin my galizy up with some gear if so what gear is best lol. my certs seem to go up very slowly like.

Without boosts or double XP bonus cert income is slow. Especially if you aren't going out of your way to optimally farm infantry. But changes are coming in regards to XP and so long as you plan on playing for a few months you will get there eventually.

haha yeh good point i might get a boost i cud do with some decent gear. i went trough a stage where i didnt play cos i sucked arse lol. much better now tho :P i like the try before ya buy thing with the weps like haha
 
I love how VS are the only ones who can do a barrel roll and avoid a A2A missile while NC and TR can't do the same.

Saw my second cheater today, this time he was flying a NC LIB, moving at warp speed in the air which could turn on a coin just like VS can, killed me in one shot and had a stupid name like IIIIIIIIII which I couldn't report, even when I typed it out correctly and tested both i and l...

Spent most of the night leading a Squad which I don't really like to do, but was happy to do, spent about 300 or so certs in Squad command stuff. Just need the smoke flares now.

yeh same with the tanks they have better avoidence due to the hover. VS is easy mode i think lol i like a challange. its amazing how the tables can turn in this game. i was on the other night and we took over almost all the map on the grass map (the name and escaped me) then i looged off for a tad and came bk and the TR had pushed bk and then we only had like 10% of the map if not less haha.
 
Something keeps bringing me back to this game. I am only playing like an hour or so at a time and have not played much in total. I seem to be just joining the instant battle things as I don't really know where to go etc.

Like others have asked, is there an OCUK outfit that takes noobie-casuals??
 
Oh come on don't talk gibberish. The tr and nc esf barrel roll will avoid anti air missiles too, playing HA with the Hades it happens all the time. In fact the tr mossie is much more manouverable than the scythe and can shake off missiles no worries.

Sure the magrider straffe ability gives more avoidance but it needs it as it us made of butter. 1v1 vs a vanguard and you are toast. The prowler needs a buff tho for sure.

I love how the Scythe is the only ESF in the game where it is extremely difficult to do barrel roll and fly backwards maneuver. I also love how the Mossie has the most splash damage on its rockets, I love how the mossie is by far the fastest ESF, I love how the mossie has the most rockets in its magazine. I love how the TR weapons basically instagib anyone at close range, I love how the TR always have the highest pop on Miller. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
lol 'easy mode' drama queens. Whenever anyone goes on about the other side being 'easy mode' you can guarantee two things - they dont have a good grip of the game and how each side has its pros and cons and theyve just been handed a can of whoop **** by the side they just called 'easy mode'.
 
It's the same as any other game - there are weapons and vehicles on each side that, in specific circumstances, are more powerful than others. If one side was blanket easy mode everyone would be playing it.
 
yeh i know but i played a few times on VR and it depends on how u want to play. snipers are poo but the sniper is awsome on NC. im not saying its all easy but most of the time it is haha. a lot of people say the NC is harder to play than others. it all depends on what u think. IMO Vr are easy lol. i dont pay for the wepons or boosts so i play on how well i am doing i dont care for new weapons or upgrades that i dont need. this is harder for me to play but i like a challange haha :P
 
Like myself and a friend who took out an entire TR armour column in one Liberator last night because they were stupid enough to roll without air cover? Eight Prowlers, six Sunderers, a couple of Lightnings, and many, many infantry.

There is no "easy mode" side, and I get very, very bored of seeing "If you're bad at VS, you're bad at this game" in chat. These people were silent in beta when VS were holding their own despite their weapons being almost useless at anything beyond poking distance. Man the hell up :p

There's a reason most of the PS2 community don't yell TR/NC are easy mode.

So what if you're a good player and don't have issues with them combat wise, but can still see they have a larger advantage, not to mention that there is a 2nd side which you feel are not as easy.
I've played long enough now on all sides and you have to wonder when so many people, so many parodied art work or videos or memes are saying the same thing, vanu easy mode.

When that amount of attention happens about a thing, you have to think why. You don't automatically jump to "lol ur bad" because nobody is mentioning having issues with them, or dying to them. Both they and I are saying they're much easier to play. It's just that your above average gamer like yourself and I don't have issues with them in particular but when I play them, it's...ugh, shockingly easy.


All the TR I've seen complain don't think NC are easy, NC don't think TR are easy in the same respect in the grand scheme, but hordes of both feel the same about Vanu.

Accuracy for infantry weapons are the main thing, since the main game is ground pounders, you need feet on the ground. Going from TR/NC HA to Vanu and you'll see an immediate accuracy improvement and recoil reduction, range hasn't been an issue for me I still drop dudes at same distances I would on other factions.

Don't get me started on MBT's and having one faction that can hover negating ground turbulance, turret stabalize, strafe shots in a smaller profile and "boost", though I do think the NC's tank is probably -the- best head to head, you just don't see many magriders move much at distance fights, they forget they have 2 axis of movement at their fingertips, the ones that do strafe have the right mind. TR/NC need to turn sideways to do the same, much larger to hit, much slower, more vunerable, harder to shoot while moving on unsteady ground. D: Even if you land every hit I often find it's down to who shot first, even with AP rounds, so we learn and play the who can hide behind an object and repair and fire before you do game.

Lasty, despite all this you'll find people like me who simply can't care enough, aren't fickle enough or bad enough to jump ship, we manage and stick to our sides.
But that's the least of my personal issues with the game, more the objective mechanics and lack of any elder game, reason to keep playing and well... I'll get into it later.

Accuracy improvement and less recoil yes, at the expense of damage per bullet, rate of fire, clip size and reload speed. It's much of a muchness really at least comparing to tr.

TR have the best HA weapon in the MCG, NC maxes can clear a room in a heartbeat but suck at range, the Mossie is the best ESF, Magriders can go sideways but blow up if you sneeze at them. Nobody can withstand a zerg of any colour. Truth be told the maps say it all, no continent can ever be guaranteed to be any particular colour. Anyway pffft still dont want to play.

yeh its offit the change around on the maps like 1 min u can be taking over loads and then the next u have next to nothing....how come u dont play?s
 
IN PS1 mags were always the most squishy tanks in the game has this changed? move better but die fast was how they always used to be, i havent certed up my mag yet so cant really say.

VS were under played in PS 1 i always had an XP boost from being the lowest pop.

Bonus of Composite armor for ESF reduced by 5% each rank (10/15/20/25 down from 15/20/25/30)
Base time to reload increased by approximately 25% for tank HE
Fixed an issue where lock-on rockets and missiles would sometimes not damage the target they hit
Fixed bug with Lightning 100mm AP where its outer radius was set to high
Reduced amount of decelerating that occurs after afterburning
Acceleration of Reaver afterburner increased
Addressing a server memory issue
Flak Mechanics Changes
We now remove the flak projectile when it bursts near an enemy aircraft. Previously the projectile was allowed a chance to continue and strike the aircraft directly, which would deal additional damage (burst damage + direct hit damage). We have increased burst damage to compensate for the loss of direct hit damage. This should result in an overall increase to flak damage and make it more consistent
Skyguard
Flak burst damage increased by 20%
Direct hit damage against infantry and other targets increased
Turret movement is now slightly smoother
Phalanx AA
Flak burst damage increased by 14%
Turret movement is now slightly smoother
MAX Burster
Flak burst damage increased by 6%
Burster projectile adjusted to more reliably hit infantry that are in close range
Direct hits with the MAX Burster can no longer damage the heavy armor of tanks, Sunderers and Phalanx Turrets

This mornings changes -- going to go test my reaver :D
