Yup, that's an accurate estimate. However, Cogs will be finished very soon which will shave another 40 mins or so off it, taking it to 11am.

Most of that 10GB has to be a new revision of Source - 5GB at least. (Alien Swarm was apparently the 'bridge' between the EP2 and P2 engines)

Indeed. There's some incredibly complex physics at work here. That has to account for a good deal of the size.

Shader model 3.0 and DX9 I think.

You could just avoid all P2 related stuff on the Internet tomorrow. By the looks of things it will be released very early on Tue morning. Just wake up and start it.

As a side note, I'd urge everyone not to even visit the Steam forums tomorrow, they will be bursting with spoilers.

I cant believe people have bought into this whole pathetic charade.....Valve really have got people wrapped round their little fingers!

What do you mean? People are just enjoying the ARG. It's all part of the anticipation.

I mean, I think the whole looking for clues thing is great. But people pretending to be abducted, infected, etc... is a bit crap

But everyone knows it's a game. It's just fun. Come on, some of us - a lot of us - love Portal. I wholeheartedly believe this game will be 'epic' in the true sense of the word. And I mean, epic brilliance. This is all very exciting.

What's the point in this launch countdown thing? By the looks of it now it's going to be out around 9am Tuesday morning, which is actually later than I expected.

It's no-one's fault that you expected it to be then. The release was always scheduled for 3pm on Tuesday.

So what has playing these games and getting potatoes achieved? Nothing?

The more gained, the more games played, the earlier the release time. Release time is currently 9am tomorrow, though it will be earlier than that, I imagine. Maybe 8am or 7am.

EDIT: It's seconds. I make that 761 minutes till the potatoes reach zero. Which is 12.5 hours. Basically it's a countdown to release, I imagine.

Just started Chapter II. Chapter I was a good introduction to the concept for newcomers but I was relieved to hear GLaDOS again. She sounds so much better this time round...more evil. Portal's just not the same without her.

Okay, I have £30 to spare.. this or Mortal Kombat? I am torn.

I am about to watch both reviews on GameTrailers, but I want your opinions guys and gals. I loved the previous Portal.. so..
