**Official Portal 2 thread**

Even if you don't get free DLC, there is always great mods. Portal Prelude

Portal Prelude is crap... Portal Pro has real puzzles.

A strange omission when they gave the first game a lot of replay value. And you wouldn't think it would be hard for them to include it, especially the latter.

Indeed. Hope they get included sooner or later.

Took me about 5.5 hours to finish singleplayer. For the most part it went quite smoothly, not rushing and some moments of utter stupidity and complete blindness. 5-6 hours is a pretty good time i'd say.

And really it was a £24 game.

*Press Space to talk* :D

Im disapointed by how short your saying it is.

£30 for a 5 ~ hour game is a little expensive.

I'm confused... what exactly were you expecting? I thought Valve had said it was 2-3x longer than Portal? Not to mention the Coop.

Seriously this isn't CoD. You can't just chuck in some more pointless gun battles to extend the gameplay by another 5 minutes. There was a lot of story in the game. I'm pretty sure there would be just as many, if not more, complaints if the game was 15 hours of test chambers.

I disagree - if a game is going to cost £30 then it should have a lot of longevity and replay value. Like CoD / BC2 etc. where the game may be expensive but you will get literally hundreds of hours out of it.

If a game is SP only (or primarily) then it should be lengthy (15 hours sounds right) OR have a lower price, such as £19.99.

I expect sp game to be about 10 hours these days.

All my games in steam other than Fall out NV and DAO are about 10 hours long.

Does the phrase 'Quality over Quantity' mean nothing?

I also completed the single player in about 6 hours or so.

If what I read is correct, then co-op have their own levels and takes at least 3 to 4 hours, maybe longer.

So how much time does the coop mode take? Sounds like that would easily make it up to the 'magic' 10 hours.

The whole idea of ignoring a large part of the content to validate arguments about the game not being worth it is kind of funny really.

I played about 10 minutes of the SP campaign in BFBC2. That £30 was a complete rip-off by this logic... the 400+ hours spent in multiplayer clearly count for nothing.

FrenchTart... fans of the original Portal are SP fans... since there was no MP at all in Portal 1.

Just because the new game has added MP doesn't mean we have to now all have to embrace MP. The existing Portal fans are rightly examining the SP experience. And it's a bit short at 5-6 hours. Sorry!

I'm a fan of the original Portal - you don't have to be "old school" to have enjoyed the SP.

I'm sorry too - that the fact that you're ignoring a good third of the content included in the price of a game (and clearly advertised as included) doesn't make it a short game.

Currently on Chapter 3 and have enjoyed the small parts I've played so far. However Multiplayer will be when the real fun starts.
