**Official Portal 2 thread**

Just completed it. The last two rooms I forgot the "trick"... Both times :(. Spent a very long time just painting everything :D while I thought

Loved it. Will there be a third one or is the story going to be wrapped up in HL2:E3? Or is this it for Chel?

im very stuck
the box falling down into the water, you open portals to project the light paths
are you supposed to get the box ?
cant for the love of god figure out how to get the light path round the the falling box !!!!!!!!!! aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh x 100

sorted, quick smoke and my mind is back on the ball
5 more levels forward :D

It's hilarious to see some people get butthurt when at the prospect of not being able to solve a puzzle as fast as someone else. God forbid they try and solve a rubix cube. :D

Could you pat yourself on the back any more? Ironic really given how much you seem to talk other people down for not finishing it 'as fast as you'.

You wouldn't walk through the game knowing how to do every puzzle you came across without getting stuck for even a few minutes here and there. You wouldn't travel around the other areas knowing exactly where to go and how to get there every time, especially in the 'old' area where it can be a little confusing. If you did it in under 6 hours on a first playthrough you did not take your time and listen to the dialogue or look around.

How am I patting myself on the back? There's others here who have said they've finished it faster than me and I've talked absolutely nobody down. Some people are just better at certain genres of games than others and i find it bizarre than in the middle of a friendly discussion about how much everyone enjoyed the game, that some would come into it and start calling people liars, cheats and whatever else for no reason what so ever, other than feeling like their epeen has in some way been damaged. I'm not going to call someone else who finished it half an hour quicker than me a cheat, nor do I feel the need to criticise how much they did or did not savor the game, if they felt they ran it at a pace enjoyable for them. It's trivial and pathetic.

If you weren't patting yourself on the back you wouldn't of felt the need to make your last post at all.

Five hours. Yes, OK. We already know the timer isn't working. I think MR B was just using his head rather than a glitchy timer. It's impossible to finish the game in that time.

If its bugged then its bugged. I wasn't aware and can only go by what my Steam Client tells me

- Pea0n

My Steam client is saying I've spent 8 hours on it - but I know that's wrong - from 6:30 -> 11pm last 2 nights, and from 6:30 -> 9:30pm tonight - I make that about 12 hours - across 3 sessions.

I did get stuck on one level for about an hour in total across 2 sessions.

Definitely one of the best games I've played. So many times I was wandering around saying, out loud, "wow, they've REALLY put a lot of effort into this"

Absolutely fantastic story. GLaDOS and Wheatley were great together, and Stephen Merchant just suited the role perfectly.

Ending song... not as good as Still Alive (but then, what would be!) - will give it some more listens and see if it grows on me :)

Of course - got the developer's commentry to do as well - maybe in a couple of months though, and relive the story again :)

Just finished

took me at least 10 hours. later half of the game ramps up the difficulty!

Merchant is amazing in this some of the finest voice acting in any video game i have played. Evreything aboutt his game is so lovingly made by the staff you can just tell.

Best game i have played in a long time. GOTY? If anything is going to beat it then we are going to have an amazing year of games.

Now i need to get a headset with a mic that works to play co-op

I don't believe it will get GOTY however we will have to see what the new Elder Scrolls and Mass Effect bring to the table. If Blizzard surprise us with Diablo III this Q4 then there is no doubt which game will get it! :p

Great game, loved every minute apart from one or two puzzles which took 30 mins for me to work out.

I can't believe how long myself and pea0n were stuck on one of the co-op levels in the second chapter bit!

Must have been a good 20-30 minutes scratching our heads... was really easy in the end when it clicked :(
