**Official Portal 2 thread**

The timing/twitch stuff, certainly, but simply being able to place portals in greater area? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't they just have to have different "texture/trigger set-ups" that would purely equate to respective difficulty levels? E.g. 'hard' would have the bare minimum of places to put portals for being able to complete the level, with easy just giving you a hell of lot more space to put 'em. Eh, I don't know, so I'll shut up now :o

It was more of wishful thinking. I'm not in the camp banging on about the game being dumbed-down or anything. Like I said, well worth the money and I absolutely love it.

I'd have thought having limited area to place portals would make chambers easier rather than harder as you're effectively narrowing down the number of possible portal combinations.

Obviously I think it depends on the type of puzzle and what you're trying to achieve with it, but I found some of the harder levels in Portal Pro the ones where I had almost free reign of places to put portals. :)

Interesting. If the DLC has to be paid for, I would only buy if it featured more dialogue from GLaDOS or Wheatley. Take away the story and dialogue elements and I lose all interest. Was the same with the advanced Portal 1 levels. Bored the hell out of me.

Mods maybe. But I personally dont think Valve will release any DLC for Portal 2. What we have now is all your likely to get.

They'll do the same as they do for TF2 and L4D with it. More levels + achievement packs minimum. I don't think they'd have bothered with a store/bot enrichment if it was only the stuff that people have completed in a few days worth.

Even though we've no details yet. They've got bigger plans certainly. :)

Yeah they wouldn't of gone through all the trouble of the store and TF2 style inventory system if they weren't going to be adding new stuff and new things to keep bringing people back.

I wouldn't be surprised if they add in plenty of extra singleplayer challenges and more Coop stuff. Coop was actually really entertaining and quite tricky too.

Just completed this and can honestly say thats its one of the best games for years. Well played Valve, now give us episode 3 :D

On a side note, I have just watched a review of this on the xbox to see what the critics had to say and all I can say is that I had no idea on how different the graphics actually are. Its like night and day and I only ran at 2x AA.

Anyhow, I would like to try the coop, so add me on steam if you fancy it: quagmireuk

Gutted. Just tried one of the achievements.

'Still Alive' -- Complete Course 4 with neither you nor your co-op partner dying.

Got all the way through the test chambers, including the one with the funnels and wall puzzle only to place a portal a little too far out right at the end and get shot by a stupid turret.

Was so nervous and jittery getting it done as you really don't want to let the other person down.

Got to be one of the hardest achievements, surely.

You mean they might add extra content and levels later on?

For free or payed dlc?

What a truly awesome game :). I've completed the single player and coop campaigns, and both were brilliant.

I'm a little sad that it's all over really, roll on portal 3! :p

Just finished the single player campaign, took about 12 hours total, but i loved every second of it.

The final chapter of the game? Epic, pants wettingly funny at times. :)
