**Official Portal 2 thread**

Took just under 8 hours to finish (going by Steam stats - not sure if accurate).

Having paid £27 I don't feel hard done by at all. That works out at around £3.40 an hour. Per hour that works out at about the cost of a trip to the cinema with most films being around 2 hours - or less than the cost of a night out! And I haven't even started coop yet, which is no doubt good for another few hours.

Absolutely delighted.

My friend who is more ignorant than a gold fish, says he is not 'interested' in Portal 2.

Even tho:

1. He loves puzzel games.
2. Finds Steven merchant hilarious.

He is like this with everything, so im not suprised.

Great game, I expected better visuals though from a full price title, low res textures on par with HL2 a 7 year old game, time for Valve to update that old ass source engine, it's 2011 people.

Just finished it, really enjoyed it and had some great moments but I still think the first was better. I think it was with 2 you kind of knew what to expect but when the firrst came out it was unique..

Still really good game and I'm going to run through again with commentry and then locate some friends for the co-op...

I have one friend who is exactly like that. He never wants to try anything new and it takes me months or even years (Mass Effect) to persuade him to at least try something which later on turns out to be his favourite game of the past few years. I finally got him to try Dragon Age Origins and he really liked it but would never even consider Baldur's Gate because now he has Dragon Age Origins and that's good enough. He has 500+ hours invested in BC2 but never even considered buying Vietnam expansion for more content even though I repeatedly throw discounts and offers at him. No interested towards Battlefield 3 either. We have played literally a thousand Company of Heroes matches against the AI and he is very reluctant to even give Men of War (Assault Squad) a try. At our LAN parties the #1 driving game is still 10-year old Rally Trophy because he's not willing to try any of the newer games. Heck, he plays Rally Trophy religiously but has never considered buying a new wheel to replace his 11 year old Microsoft Wheel. Counter-strike remains our only small scale fps game because.. well, why try anything new? Same with Supreme Commander.

Don't even get me started on trying to recommend him TV shows or movies...

A very high quality game experience, took around 8-9 hours first time, then did it again the next day with director commentary on.

For people complaining about the length, you don't judge a book a book by how many pages it has, you judge it by the quality of the writing, and its the same here.

Just finished this in about 6:30 / 7 hours but I'm not dissapointed as I absolutely loved every minute! Got the whole co-op side to do now.

I never properly played the first portal so think I should probably go through that one too. the ending to this was absolutely brilliant!

Have you guys started playing Coop yet? It's just so fun. Me and a friend finished it in one sitting and we used Vent to chat as well. It was quite a unique experience.

Excellent excellent excellent excellent excellent excellent excellent excellent excellent .

Never laughed so much, so constantly at a game ever. Comedy genius, excellent puzzles, excellent new things to work with, the physics...everything.

Epic.

Glad to see you enjoyed it. Valve prove once again how top class they are.

*shrug* The only achievement that is genuinely difficult is surviving all of Course 4 without dying. Excepting small lag issues that could kill you, surviving the final level is going to be a serious pain in the arse. The second time you have to drop into the turret line its so easy to be killed before you can get the light barrier up.
