Free DLC announced for Oct 4th.

While the DLC pack won't expand Chell's single-player adventure, it will add "Peer Review," a whole new cooperative campaign for robot pals P-Body and Atlas. Details are scarce about the new mission, except that players will "once again match wits with GLaDOS," the nefarious, off-kilter AI. The DLC will also introduce a "Challenge Mode" for both single-player and co-op play. Players will be able to compete for the best scores and then compare their rankings on Leaderboards.

Its apparently out on Xbox (as MS just release it sometime on the day). I would imagine Steam will get it this evening.

No news yet on steam. Just a rather confusing post dated yesterday saying the DLC is out tomorrow

It's saying it's updating the full 10Gb for me, not sure it liked being steammovered over to the d:\ drive

Downloading 20GB of RAGE at the moment so this will take a while even at 1.4MB/s!

Its new. Going by comments on the steam forum its only timed sections of the SP not the same thing as Portal, at least not yet.

Was slightly disapointed, I read 'new single player challenges' to mean more than old levels with a stopwatch. But then it was free!

I'm confused/dumb. It downloaded some stuff and then when I launched I get the timed sections but can't see any more single player maps. Are there any?
