**Official Portal 2 thread**

Not done it yet, but surely thats just a case of figuring out how to do it as you have to hit them with something at high speed? You've got all the time in the world for that. (it is the monitors in the last 2 chapters right?)

Stephen Merchant actually made the game for me. He just made it hilarious, especially in the first and last chapters. "Aristotle VS Smashy Spike Plate!" I still haven't been able to play it on co-op yet as I got it for PS3 and haven't even been able to redeem my PC copy because I have to link my PSN account to do it.

Well obviously, a couple of them are just quite tricky though, especially the last one. Doesn't matter how much time you have, it's working out how to do it then doing it right.

Fair point.

Regarding surviving all of course 4 without dying... it has to be done in 1 go. You can't do them individually if you fail on any. On the bright side, lag spikes aside, we know how to do them all without problems now, its just a case of doing a flawless run.

I'm on Chapter 8 level 16 and that's taken me 8 hours so far. I have really enjoyed the game so far and certainly don't think it's not worth the money (although I did only pay £20 for mine in the members market)

Wheatly and Cave Johnson have made me laugh throughout the game, more than a lot of so called comedy shows. Valve a showing that releasing a game when it's ready and properly polished is definitely the best way to please your customers.

I haven't rushed through, Ive read all the signs, notices and posters as well as listening to all the dialogue properly. I haven't got properly stuck yet, so anyone who says it's only a 4 hour SP campaign is just lying. I will definitely play through again to listen to the audio commentary and maybe a third time to get acheivements I missed. Then there's the co op to play through a couple of times I would have thought, so there's got to be a 25-30 hours worth in there, for me there is at least.

And knowing Valve there will be more content to come.

Well the game cost me £25, Steam says I've played for 20 hours so far, that's two playthroughs, one with the commentary. Still got co-op to do and no doubt I'll play through the single player more in the future. Easily worth the money.

Anyone up for a Co-Op play through , Not managed to do all of it yet and today i can't seem to find a decent partner.

So far had 2 disconnects, 1 guy who kept shooting his portals over mine meaning we got no where and another who didn't listen and had no idea what to do !

So if anyones interested in a run through Steam ID is Elbulus , Should also say my mic isn't working so text is my communication preference

Cheers =D

Yeah its best to get a partner you can stick with throughout, even if its over a few sittings. Spoils things a bit if both of you aren't working together to figure them out. Course your partner can always leave it to you till you solve it but its not the same.

Yay :D

One thing I have noticed is that a lot of the puzzles in the main game seem a lot easier than the first and there aren't as many twitch puzzles. (If thats the right way to describe them).

I still think its a good game though, took me about 6hrs to finish but I wasn't rushing through. The voice overs were good. I'll probably play it again with the commentary on as I did with the HL games as I enjoy seeing the thought that goes into each area.

Guess I'm onto the coop now! :)

Just finished it, amazingly entertaining, amusing and fun game. The puzzles had me foxed on a number of occasions. The ending was fantastic, though shame they had to fall back to good old fashioned FMV.

Quick question, I've tried to keep it vague to avoid spoilers:

What was with the interlude at the beginning of the ending? It seemed a bit random.

Thats why we have a spoiler thread :p

I think it was supposed to surprise you given what it seems like at first glance. Plus if you found the hidden area earlier on in the game you might've seen it coming.

So apparently Portal 2 will turn you in to a homosexual

LOL no really. At first i thought it MUST be a joke... but the site it's on seems to be a serious site.

Heres a few highlights:
Just 10 minutes of Bing research produced so much evidence that this game was a homosexual recruitment tool that I have now forbidden it.

Here are some of the things I have learned: This game is made by Valve software, a wholly owned subsidiary of NAMBLA – the people who invented child molestation

As if that was not enough, there are mechanical testicles and gay saunas around every corner.

...And this is why you should stay away from religious people, kids.

I had another look and it might actually be a parody site... but it's so hard to tell with religious people because i've heard this sort of thing before!

Either way... funny read :D
