**Official Portal 2 thread**

Well I can assure you I'll stick with it :)

Fancy playing tonight then? Never played PC multiplayer so you might have to be patient with me, even bought a headset just for this ages ago! Is voice and stuff done through the game or do we need external programs?
 
You can press F to point to things of interest which is handy but yeah voice chat sounds better :)

And yeah i'm up for a game. Add me on Steam: peterattheboro and send me a message when you are ready.
 
Nope, you don't have to finish it all in one go. Each level completed within a course (I think there are about five courses) is automatically saved and you can go to whichever level/course you want directly from the hub. Hope that makes sense!
 
Its very frustrating, this coop stuff....

Two people at different stages of the game, each wanting to do different puzzels etc....

Im at level 3 on the coop.

I have tried every single workaround out there to fix this, but it keeps on crashing to desktop after few mins or 10mins.

I found the solution, put back both CPU and memory clock to auto in the UFEI Bios.

All my games, Crysis, metro, Crysis2, CSS, TF2, BFBC2, Mass effect2,....etc all of them I can play without any issue on 2500K @ 4.5; memory is set to T1@1600 and with Nvidia 580GTX.

Stupid portal2.
 
Still no word on the free DLC release? Hopefully not long after the Summer Camp Sale, that is if 'Valve time' doesn't play up.

Need some mo' now...

Interesting... I just tried to load portal on my new build (see sig) and I get a crash to desktop, with a 'portal2.exe has stopped working' message :(

I'm not going to be too happy if it turns out to be because of my overclock! Are valve working on a fix or anything?
 
Sorted (well, 29mins played...).

From the Steam Forums:

Go to steamapps/common/portal/portal2/ and delete the cfg folder (or renamed to cfgOLD
and verify the game cache, it will download uncorrupted cfg files
