!!**Official RAGE Thread**!!

I watched the Behind the Scenes pt 5 video, looks really great. It seems to have come a long way since the last video I watched.

Does look much more polished, even the human textures seem to be a bit more convincing and not as shiny as they were previously. Seems to be an issue with idtech engines.

Can't wait for this, got a massive nerd-bonder for John Carmack!

Just finished re-watching his keynote from Quakecon, the man talks a huge amount of sense!

Have that one linked already, its the second one with the RAGE sign on the preview panel

also added some camera off screen co-op vids to the op, and some impressions from kotaku :) second cam vid shows the defrib revive mechanic working.

Ah I see, it's just hosted by a different outfit.

Looks great still. :)

I suspect FO4 would be more likely to use the same engine as Skyrim. ;)

Blurgh, they need to drop that engine as soon as possible, I really can't stand it (I know they say it's a new engine, but I fully expect it to be just an upgraded Gamebryo engine).

Think id prefer to buy a boxed copy, downloading that amount of data would be tedious. :o

Wouldn't be too bad, should take around 2 hours on a 24Mb connection, and 6 hours on a 8Mb connection. That's easily an overnight download.

I myself don't mind, I did after all download Dragon Age from Steam with that being around 24GB. :o :p

If there was a guaranteed preload i might, i remember the utter cluster**** that was the crysis warhead launch, getting insanely slow speeds for most of the night, mainly because of no preload. Valve are usually very cagey saying if theres a preload or not in a lot of cases.

I'd think something like this would get a preload. Very surprised otherwise.

Would hope so, just noticed steam class it as a SP game, obviously a mistake on their part.

The majority of it seems to be SP to me. The tacked-on vehicular multiplayer doesn't sound very interesting or a major part of the game.

That said, I guess that doesn't make a difference in terms of it counting as mulitplayer or not.
