Hmmm ok just been through and read every single reply LOL all 20 pages and nothing mentions about my issue hehe :), could you have been thinking of another thread?

ok so i thought i would set up raid but no the pc hates me! When trying to instal it/even install vista normally i get "bad pool header 0x19" bsod with 403 and 404 and is annoying me now. So since memtest passed the ram that only leaves me with gcard and mobo but havent got another gcard :( gonna try install xp too and use 303 or whatever bios.

Clean install hopefully should remove corrupt bios issues. All available Bios download links listed on page 1 of the thread posted by Smirnoff.
Hopefully your next post will be issue free.

should be issue free but it isnt :( cant even install a fresh copy. the error this time was memory management bsod so gonna try the white sockets of the mobo this was using 403 and 301 bios -.- even reflashed the bios. when i woke up the bios asked me to set the date / time oO (turned of by psu) so guess the cmos battery is dead but i dont think this would be the problem ? anyway will tr the white slot

ok well it got further via white slots (still installing) which leaves me to wonder, does this mean the blue ones are faulty even tho i ram passed memtest in them oO.

After you done the clean install, without OC test the modules in the blue slots.
If all is fine, the issues may have been either to due Bios corruption, or vista.
Which Bios are you now using with the clean XP install?

Ignore the above. i have just read you previous post. It would appear that you may have to RMA the motherboard.

Ok, my stable Linpack settings for 24/7. Temps are bearable. All measurements in load:

And ALMOST stable Linpack settings for 430 FSB (for stable Linpack settings wee need a lot of precision and, hence, many more work time). Temps/volts are not bearable. I have ordered a complete kit for full motherboard air-cooling. All measurements in load:

Gskill 2x2GB 12800 kit

vcore - 1.237
cpu - 1.707 (red)
fsb - 1.204
nb - 1.356
dram - 1.905 (red) but shows 1.898 (blue) switches between

EDIT - memtest passed with no errors

the temp u show or vol 1.7 if it is volts it is way to high i am running 625x10 at 1.4v -48c and if that is your n/b v it is to low and will give you probs with ram on air 1.5-1,6v and the dram v the board does not like high v i have 2 x boards here and 1 of them does not like blue ram slots but works ok with 1.67 nb volts and 1.7 sb volts and cellshock blues are the best for this m/b i am running at 1940 rock steady with 1.72 volts

Nice info BB,

Although the NB (MCH) temps appear to be some what high even more so in the 2nd pic with the reduced multi. Nice OC. What type of air cooling have ordered out of interest?

Edit:Will you be testing the limits of the memory ?

I was a long time trying to get 1800Mhz and none worked. Windows won´t boot.

I have ordered Thermalright HR-05 SLI/IFX + Noctua 8" for NB (i dont know yet if this fit), TR HR-09 S/U for cpu mosfets, Enzotech SLF-1 for SB and ET Mos-c1 and Bmr-c1 for nb mosfets. Nothing unusual, all very typical. I must wait for delivery around 2 weeks...

Hi BaronB I believe the Type 2 Thermalright HR09U Type 2 and HR09S Type 2 also fit the mofsets of the motherboard. If possible will you post a pic of your log showing the fittings. I sent an email to Noctua and this was the reply:

The NC-U6 might fit on both chipset parts but as we don't have this board we are unable to test compatibility with it.
Furthermore due to the location of the Southbridge and the size of the NC-U6 you'll probably have compatibilty issues with a number of video cards.

I'm sorry that I can't give you an answer with secure informations about this matter.

Look forward to your updates BaronB

Stock cooling

I'm just about to buy this board, having read through the whole of this thread I noted the problems encountered where the capacitor stops the stock cooler making complete contact. Is there a replacement air cooling that can be used? Anyone have a link to any mods or pointers? Also if you just replace the stock cooling with thermal paste the washers used are? Where do you get hold of them or is there a better solution.
