***Official Reading 2009 Thread***

Got my ticket after almost an hour of worry. The line up isn't as great as last year imo but I love the Prodigy so it's worth it for me, I'm annoyed about the no early entry thing though
 
Yeah i got my confirmation emails last night about 11:55pm

My mates got theres at 8pm. seetickets was is on form this year, last year and year before hadto wait a week to get the email.
 
not a bad initial lineup, however ive seen them all before lol... still should be fun though, ill probably hang around the tents again. ive not seen Jamie T or Maccabees for a looong time so ill probably check out their new material.

Prodigy is a must see for me ! loving their new album, its gone all 8-bit :p

what this PLUS SPECIAL GUESTS business?

im hoping to see some up and comings in the tents, id quite like Little Boots or La Roux to be there, would be awesome to see them again :)

i think KoL will be dissapointing for a lot fo people, especially now their overplayed to the point where im finding their singles annoying.

one band i will be missing is Enter Shikari, least talented band ive ever accidentally seen :p lesson one, your not cool if you can scream down a mic andd mash some keys
 
weekend tickets will always sell out :P its reading/leeds!

all the kids have to see Arctic Monkeys!! haha :D
 
Got a Leeds ticket last night. Well, a mate did = ) There's something to be said for the tactic of buying for all of your friends and all trying at the same time. MSN's great for co-ordinated efforts!

I wasn't too impressed by the lineup either to be honest but I'm going as it'll be a good time and I'll probably find new bands to listen to during the day. Wouldn't mind checking out the comedy tent this year too.

Thats something that got on my nerves a few years back. When the Chili's played on the Friday night (I think it was) half the campsite packed up and left. All of those people had bought weekend tickets to see 1 band. Wasn't even teenagers either. The majority of the people leaving were adults.
 
It's looking far too indy this year, I only like one of the announced bands so far, the gallows. Hopefully there will be some decent bands playing the lockup.
