***Official Rift Planes of Telara Thread***

It take 10 mins to reset your password and authenticator.

How is this an enormous inconvenience?

Overreact much?

The fact all of the details have been stolen and can be uploaded/leaked to anywhere at will doesn't concern you?

I think you need to read what's happened again.

I have read it, I use PayPal to pay my subs, the password I used was for that login and only that.

So they have my old address, an inaccurate DOB and my email address.

I'm not worried at all, but feel free to over react on my behalf.

Think kind of thing is becoming more and more common, Sony, play etc.

The Only defence is not to use any online services at all.

Dammit. I was just planning what to do with all my gaming time when my current month's subscription runs out, when someone who used my ascend-a-friend code months ago actually bought the game. Now I have another 30 days!

So...What's to do when you're level 50 but don't want to do raids?

Heard Trion have been working very heavily on bringing out plenty of new content, not something you see from most recent MMO's.

How is RIFT doing? Do the servers feel populated or has it lost tons of subs since launch like most modern MMO's do?

Also is the OcUK guild active? I remember helping to start up the guild so would be nice to see how it has got on since launch.

Yes there's lots of content.

Yes there has been a decline in players, but my server (with OcUK guild) is pretty packed.

The OcUK guild exists, but it's no longer OcUK people. I think there is 1 person around from the start, and then me from not too long after. We're pretty healthy, though lost a fair few to ToR.

Ahh okay, how many active members do you suspect there are in the guild? Also is being a member of OcUK enough to join the guild? Or do you have to be a raider?

Thanks

I just applied to re-join Covenant. I was around when the split happened and a bunch of folk made a new Guild 'Harmless'. As most of the folk I chatted with went that way, so did I.

Anyway, they stopped playing around July and are now in ToR, which I've tried and didn't enjoy.

It did remind me I really enjoy MMO's and I really miss Rift, so I'm hoping you guys will take me back :) I have a 50 Cleric and a 50 Rogue, both specc'd well enough to go GSB (as I have done a few times)

I don't know if anyone will remember me, my Characters are Bartholemew and Diamon.

For those still playing... Have they fixed the bugs with end-game content? Greenscale's Blight was extremely buggy at the time I left and left me with a bit of a bitter taste toward the game. I'd assume it's long since been fixed, but wanted clarification.

Anyone able to kindly offer a brief summary on how the game is to play now than it was back then (left around August time)? Looking for a stop-gap game before Tera & GW2.

GSB seems fine to me. Been through it a couple of times since I returned.

I wouldn't say it's all that different now. A few more dungeons than when I played before. GSB was the big one everyone aimed for. Now it's HK and you PUG GSB...

Just got this game installed again as i'm bored of SWTOR. I've not playing since the release month, but i'm going to give it another try.
As three different classes can tank are they are great for endgame? I've been a tank for years and a rogue does sound interesting.

Just got back onto this, haven't played since it released basically, I did hit 50 but ive rerolled a cleric on the Bloodiron pvp server, can anyone give me a step by step guide to injecting FXAA into this game? I keep failing

I picked this game back up a couple of days ago. I played Beta and the first month of so on release but it got pretty boring quickly.

Now, however, I am having a blast. There is so much to do in the game. I have never been in game and not have something to do. It's awesome. I would go as far as saying Rift is currently the best MMO available.

Has there been much change? Like many others I played for the first month and then didn't play again. Might try it out as you can play free until level 20 if I'm right?

Recently reinstalled Rift, played it during the first month but quit after that due to lack of content and stuff to do plus all Rogues seemed to be good at was Barding. Really impressed with how the game has came along.

They've added so much to the game it's crazy. Instant Adventures, Chronicles, new raids, new dungeons, carnival events, new PvP instances, lots and lots of mini games, a new zone full of stuff to do. I literally log on and have to decide about what I want to do today as there is no way I can do it all - and this is a really good thing, because I'm not logging on and doing the same 20 dailies like other games have. They changed the leveling process with a very handy step-by-step guide on what skills and souls to pick based on what role you chose which was also very helpful when I was re-leveling up.

I guess the only downside is 1 to 45 was pretty much identical from a questing view point. There is lots of players on the server I'm on though so it's always busy and I never had trouble finding people to do a Rift with and never had any zone events that went uncomplete due to lack of people.

Very impressed so far, I wasn't expecting it to be this good when I used my free 3 days, so I sub'd for a month to see how it goes. In about 10 days of playing I've done about 6 instances, 1 raid, a bunch of PvP instances, 2 of the chronicles, lots of Instant Adventures, lots of quest mini games... and I've seen only 1 bug - a welcome sight coming from SWTOR :p
