Yeah, NRL is reffed totally differently IMO, they let so much more go which leads to a quicker game. Everything should be reffed like the State of Origin tbh. :p

Wigan v Leeds was fairly typical for 2 weeks out from the play-offs, particularly involving the two teams who have mastered the art of doing f all in the weeks leading up to the play offs and then switching on. Looks like Wire are starting to pick up the idea as well :)

Saints have mixed up doing f all with playing total ****

Victory! The win at Bradford secures Widnes a place in the play-offs! :D

Shame I won't get to see any of them as I'll be on a tanker off Malaysia for the next three months. :(

I was taking a half day to go back up North and watch the Salford game. Half tempted not to bother now as I'm not sure what tactics the team will be using in the run up to the play offs...

I'm really happy we got top 8 but a final game blow out and race for 8th would have been a good watch ha.

I think its the best alternative to Manchester. Its just the one year away from the Etihad I believe. Could be on a better weekend though. You can guarantee Wigan will be last game on Sunday and then up at 6:20am for work the next day

I'm obviously biased but I think Leeds.

Their end of the season has been terrible and really lack luster. I'm hoping they ease into some sort of form against the Dragons this weekend and really kick on in the following weeks and play like we know they can.

Leeds v Wire final for me.

SkyBet have an interesting market up for anyone who likes the odd punt.

Top Grand Final tryscorer. Some generous odds too if you think the likes of Wigan and Wire will go far. Burgess looks a good bet if he stays fit.

That was a pretty intense game to set us up for the playoffs :(. I saw all the NRL games last weekend. They are a week in front of us and use exactly the same system. Why were all their games like WW3 and we get teams just folding? Wigan were pretty good, but Huddersfield really let themselves down. I'd be furious if I'd trailed over to their place and watched my team put their cues on the rack after 45 mins.

In the NRL Roosters v Cowboys play-off this morning, Cowboys were 30-0 down after 30 minutes. They got it back to 30-30, lost to a drop goal and a very dodgy disallowed try ruled against them in the last minute. If a team went 30-0 down over here, it would end up in the 70's.

If Jonathan Thurston isn't the best RL player in the world, I don't know who is

He is a quality player, though, funnily enough, I will always remember him from when I saw Aus v NZ at Warrington a couple of years ago. It was the pre-match warm up and he was lining up a kick from the touchline to practise his conversions. As he ran up to kick it, he slipped, fell on his arse, the ball bobbled a few feet. The crowd were in fits of laughter, he stood up, bowed to us, then walked off down the tunnel! Brilliant!

I was also there for that game. I remember him have the kicking tee carrier brush his boots down before he took a kick in game. It was all quiet then a women stood up and just gave out a massive NEIGH! Everyone burst out laughing. Do not think he was impressed.
