*** Official Rugby League SLXX Thread ***

Not a great game last night but the atmosphere was awesome, especially in the last 15 mins when the points were secure!! Pressure on Radford now, most fc fans I spoke to want him out.

Decent couple of weeks for rovers notching up another win against the Giants.

Was a gutsy performance from both sides and an evenly matched contest. Very much the Brought v Campese show and Big Eorl was hard to stop with a good offload. Rovers eventually got it over the line and were deserving winners in the end.

Decent away support from the Giants, which we haven't often said for a long time, if ever.

Tough game against Cas coming up and again may be a little light on forwards again. The sooner Tilse arrives the better! Need him!

Wasn't aware of that rule! Graham and his reaction is something quite surprising. If that sort of language (vocal and body language) was used in SL then I'd imagine he would get sin binned (like it mattered anyway!). Pretty outrageous, but you can see why he was annoyed and riled up.

Still can't quite believe Salford are in 3rd! Weird! Looks like Rangi is up for another hefty ban. Still can't quite make out what he did, even after watching it repeatedly on the SL Show, seems as though he shoulder charged Ferres leg to the side when Ferres was in the tackle??

As Tony said a while back, if I remember correctly, its entirely possible that Union will come sniffing but certainly Wigan would be in the frame with Salford rumoured interested (for what its worth, I'm sure ALL clubs are interested!!).

Late tackles on the kicker have to be dealt with. It seems like open season at the moment.

Sam Tomkins to return to Super League because of homesickness... so Wigan got £0.5m for him being away for two seasons? He's bound to go back to them. Don't mind if he wants to skip over to play for us on the plastic turf though!

As for that tackle, I don't see much wrong with that. The refs in SL need to sort out late attacks on the kickers though. Mellor gets pounded every single time he kicks and 90% of the time they're late. Someone is going to do some serious damage to him yet the refs just leave it.

I see you tweeted the rfl referees!

Rovers weaknesses showed through tonight. A narrow and short pitch certainly didn't play to Rovers strengths. We struggled to find any gaps in defence and Cas' heavy team could manage easy metres despite where they started on the pitch. Had a feeling that we would get nothing from this game. Cas seem to be our bogie team, have been for a while.

Wakefield had a bad day today. Can't see them recovering this year and are likely contenders for the drop.

Wigan's best performance with ball in hand. Some woeful defending though. Sarginson won't be watching it too many times.

Good to see Sam Tomkins back. The worst kept secret in RL. Maybe Joel told him the truth about playing RU :). Wish he'd told Sam Burgess as well.

That final pass for Wigans first try was absolutely top class.

Saints are all over the place at the moment losing to a rampant Leeds side, 30 mins in and if I'm being honest, its hard to see them losing this.

Rovers lacking defensively for big spells during the Bradford game but got over the finish line winning 30-50. Disappointing display to be honest, conceding so many tries and it will do Bradford more good than Rovers, despite the fact that Rovers are in the hat for the next round.

Slightly bitter note though, fans of both sides have had their cars done in whilst parked in the Richard Dunne sports facility. At least 15 cars had windows smashed in and things stolen, including a Range Rover whose headlights and grill were removed.

Missed all the tv games this week aside from Catalans v Rovers. No complaints with the result really, we just weren't at the races for some reason and for all the effort we couldn't match their size. Battieri, Casty, Taia and the new lad Springer were just too much of a handful.

Oh dear, a lot of our players are unexpectedly out tonight with 3 players from the academy on the bench! No Campese, Lunt, Allgood, Tilse, Salter, Mantellato, Goulding...

Fear for the score tonight, can we get it postponed until we get our players back from injury? ;)

That's more like it after the horror show of last week.

Wakefield aren't as bad as their position suggests (if they get their front row back from injury - Paea et al) but Rovers were much the better side tonight. Not much of a spectacle for the neutral though.
