*** Official September 7th Apple Event "Far Out" (18:00 BST) ***

Presenting the Apple Watch as a life saving device is fairly disingenuous isn't it?
I genuinely wish I’d let mine contact the emergency services when I fell. It would have meant I didn’t just lay there by the side of the road waiting for someone to stop and help me.

They literally made her live through the actual crash again.

All of that effort for ~5 seconds of video. suppose they have the cash to burn.

My car already does this car crash notification stuff

"We developed a sensor fusion algorithm" - love it :D

I'm sure I've seen reports saying the heart defect detection stuff is quite ropey.
It's single probe vs 12 (i believe, was when i last had one) with a typical ECG machine which is why when i've looked at ECG watches they all have warnings a long the lines of "it may help to detect a defect/issue but you need to seek medical advice" et cetra.
I think that's why there is still some scepticism in the medical industry, plus false-positives could lead to more people in A&E for no reason.

Crash detection.
Surprised they couldn't offer the feature on phones

I was always under the impression it needed to be charged daily. So it could never do sleep tracking as you had to charge it overnight. :D
I charge mine in the shower in the morning, that’s all it needs.

Roaming is nice.
