****Official SFL (diddy) League 2012 - 13****

And Rangers have imploded again. Well done Stirling Albion and good on you for making your 9th place position in the league look completely false.

Stirling are truly a terrible team! But then again rangers can't play away from home. Think ally could be looking for a new job soon!
Brechin played well today but defensive errors flattered Arbroath in a 3 1 loss. In the next week or so brechin will be looking to install a new manager to replace Jim weir. Various names being mooted so far. Gary bollan, grant Johnstone and ray McKinnon all attended today's game. Jimmy calderwood apparently seen at the glebe on Monday. Alan Maitland, Gus McPherson and Brian Reid also mentioned. We'll see how the committee decides things soon enough.

Gary bollan is most fans top choice. Did well with Livingstone albeit a full time team winning 3rd then 2nd divisions back to back. Ex city player grant Johnstone would be next choice. I would think calderwood is an outside chance although I think his wage demands would be too high. I don't think any fans want Gus McPherson or Brian Reid though. The other two are just making up the numbers as well.

I think Stirling were actually 10th going into the game - is the bottom team in Div 3, the lowest position in British professional football or is it possible to go any lower?

Whats your point?

I dont know much about your new players, but isnt there at least 6 internationalists in your team from Sat? Alexander, Wallace, Black, Kyle, Shiels and McCulloch? Even if they all havent played, they have all been in international squads.

So that actually makes your comparison more embarassing ;)

still obsessed? This is the diddy league discussion thread, rangers are part of the diddy leagues and a perfectly legitimate talking point is that of a surprise result when a highly paid full time team half filled with international players is beaten by a part time team with no money (run by its supporters trust if i remember correctly).

Before you wade in with your 'obsessed' nonsense look back at your posts when you gloriously announce taking a second division 'scalp' in the cup......

Err I'm talking about my team who are in the 3rd division. We have people who do not support teams in the lower leagues who post only when Rangers have a bad result so yes they are obsessed.

Obsessed - no. Having a laugh - yes.

As Derek W says, a full time team of highly paid internationals being beaten by the worst team in professional football in Scotland is news. You just cant see the funny side to it :)

Rangers should be steamrolling every team in the league, home and away, but have won less than 50% of their league games and no away fixtures.

At least your club is being kept in the spotlight, even if for the wrong reasons.

McCoist gets vote of confidence from Green.
Thought that 25yr contract Green spoke about for Ally would have been enough of a vote of confidence.

Seems he wasnt offered it :)

My point is that where most managers change 2-3 players per transfer window Rangers changed close to 30!

I'm not going to defend an embarrasing result however there were/are certain factors to consider. Little was clearly missed, I'm not worried and given that this summer it was looking like there would be no team to support having only lost 1 match in normal time this season (with no pre-season) I'm not worried.

I also expect you to gloat as that's part of football and I would be disappointed otherwise. ;)

But we'll come good and like I said the taste will be so sweet.
