***Official Squad Thread***

I just watched the Version 4 trailer posted in the OP, the physics based effects look pretty nice. This game resembles to ARMA 3 a bit? According to SteamSpy there was a peak of owners at +400,000 copies sold on November 13th but now it went back to ~275K. I find it a bit weird. Anyway that looks good overall

New animations look fantastic and are very welcome - if I had one crticism of the game it's that the player animations are very basic. And those explosion effects are some of the best I've seen in any game. When can we expect to see that content in game do you think Xcept?

I wish I could tell you at definite date! Animation system won't be for a while as there is still plenty to do. The effects will be in as soon as we get the mines in.

Rubbish answer I know but it's all I can say currently!

Hello is it known that 7.1 audio isn't working correctly?

I did this video to showcase the issue

I love this, you 100% correct here Squad even right now is in its own league.
Matter of a fact the only thing common between all three is they are an FPS genre

This.

Squad has created its own and well executed genre.

No spammyness of modern cod/bf1 clones and not the utter grindy clunkiness of arma.

I'm annoyed that I don't play it more tbh but I only normally get the chance to have a game after a few beers and end up letting the whole team down or not enjoying it as much as I should.

Still, one of only 3 examples of early access done right that I've paid out for, don't regret it in the slightest.

I got a fair few rounds in over the weekend. When this game is good, it's really really good. Now that people understand and use the vehicles it's amazing, no more running for miles. Can't wait for the Christmas holidays to get stuck in some more.

I see some talk of sound above. I was playing with stereo headphones over the weekend and I find that the volumes and direction of things are often very hard to determine. Sometimes you will hear loud fire right next to you but there is nobody near you. Is this just me or do other people experience this?
