As someone who was waiting to get into this with the potential steam early access release the pricing for this has put me completely off it.

They're either really ambitious and foresee £29.99 to be great value in the long run or they only want the most hardcore fans to buy it, which while I understand this concept it strikes me as a little weird considering most of the hardcore fans probably already backed this in the kickstarter and have been playing it for some time now. The steam early access release seems more like a way of giving the backers and people who have access to the game already the added benefits of steam functionality rather than bringing in a lot of new community members.
 
I was interested in this but for 30 quid and being early access I won't be buying. Been had by early access on steam already, not again.
 
Honestly guys 30 quid might seem high but for what you get even in its such early stages is fair priced tbh

Just look at price of full triple A games of late lol its like half the price and I can tell you 100%i have had so much fun in this game than I have in the last couple of years with AAA games..

The great thing about Squad is its only going to get better.
 
I'd of paid £30 for the early version we were playing a month or two back, fair enough if it's a game you can't see yourself playing much and you're just buying it because everyone else is but it's 100% worth £30 in my opinion. Haven't had a similar experience to this for years.
 
I paid 60 for the Squad leader pack as ive played over 400 hours of pr over the last 6 months and tbh the devs deserve the money since PR was free im happy to pay to back this.

Like its been said its only going to get better.

And knowing Melbo from the old arma 2 days he wouldn't be backing this and working on this if it was another World War Z and tbh even to say if will fail or won't be popular is a joke its a 2015 pr which is amazing.

3.6 Hotfix

  • Fixed an issue where limiting max players in command line wasnt working
  • Fixed a bleed and ticket issue in Kohat Radio Tower
  • Removed the Founders Skins pending full implementation

We're also on top of the top sellers on Steam currently which is nice :P
 
I started playing PR back in 2008 and because of who is making this i bought this a few weeks ago on faith. Looking forward to downloading tonight and we'll see what happens.


Used to love driving around in PR in a little car with 3 rpg guys hanging out as a form of ghetto tank, i know this isnt like that but happy memories. Back in the days before my old community Tactics & Teamwork exploded due to a semi tyranical leadership group (MadTommy- the nob)

Arma 3 was 20 on early release for comparison so yea a bit more, that was a couple years ago. No harm waiting I guess but apparently it is a working online game just not finished fully yet

Check your paypal email, they send keys to however you paid I think
 
So just had a quick blast until a disconnect and it's looking good. Jumped into a squad and there were 3/4 on voice and the squad was working well together. Still need to get used to the weapons, the iron sites (M4) seem quite small on my screen.

On the server browser I'm not seeing any server ping and most servers appear to be AUS or US based at the moment.

Really looking forward to some good games from this.
 
I thought it was going to be £25, an extra £5 isn't a concern.

Game looks good and seems to have a great dev team, going to sort it out this evening.
 
Stupid question, but I guess you'll be around this evening Melbo? Got it downloaded this morning before work ;)
