No rock solid indication anything you do see is pure speculation.

We do know they are now in a good possession with the tech and are pushing the creation of the game, this is clear looking at star citizen and will translate over to sq42.

With it being a single player and not needing to account for randomness to the same degree I would PERSONALLY say around late 2019-mid2020 for the first episode (if they are still releasing it episodically)
 
I'd be surprised if it wasn't episodically released, too good an opportunity to get people interested in the multiplayer Star Citizen.

They don't pass up any tricks!
 
I'm a late backer bit still occassionally watch someone else playing through it. As of yet there's nothing that really excites me to the same degree as to when I bought into it all.

When it is done (or at least in a good enough state) I can see it being an enormous open ended game.

I still enjoy Elite :)

I earned money today by hauling illicit cargo ( drugs in this case ) to an outpost and selling it there. Or you can do missions or mine if you have a prospector <- you can buy these in game Probably other ways too that i don't remember as im in a rush to get out the door :D late for work.
 
There is a secrete Drugs Lab on Yela, you can get a maximum 20 CU of Drugs and sell it at about 60% profit, trafficking drugs in that way can earn you upto about 15,000 aUEC an hour. a Dragon Fly costs 75,000 aUEC, and Aurora LN about 335,000 aUEC, a Prospector about 1.65m aUEC.

Anyway, Pirate Cutlass is bugged.

is it worth doing so seeing as they reset your balance anyway after each release?
