Its when the FreeFly ends, you only pay if you then want to purchase a game package, if not then that's it at least until the next FreeFly.

CIG seriously.....

I just wanted to make a tutorial on how to sign up, download the launcher and install the game, what i realised during that is none of this is at all obvious.

Here is the kicker.... when signing up for an account it then does not continue on to any sort of continuation of the FreeFly event, instead from there on it treats you like an account without a pledge and from that point on which ever way you go to try and install the game it wants you to purchase a game package, not good enough, CIG!

So i went back to the front page to click on the freefly link and from there go through the motions now with an account, at least, that did work, for as far as i got at the time anyway, so i went back to the front page again to take screenshots of what i was doing and when i clicked on the fly for free button again i got this

Holly _____ _____ CIG! Employ someone who knows how to do all this front end stuff because this is abysmal.

I tried stowing an Ursa Rover in the royal mail van, When the cargo ramp raises the Rover stuttered and hitched so much the entire ship blew up lol XD

They have the launcher hidden away in a sub menu, who does that? Well apart from CIG.....

Hopefully now with the main server meshing tech being finalized this year we'll start to see other systems with jump gates coming online faster and faster. While those of us who have stuck with SC understand this massive undertaking is very complex, More and more being put on live and moving quickly towards 4.0 will do a lot of good for CIG's currently not great reputation in the game community.

On a separate note I bought all the Auspicious paintjobs for Origin ships that went live today... I'm a sucker for red

Maybe these barren systems can eventually get Org stations in them which would be epic, I believe in the video from 2-3 months ago player/org stations were hinted at with the base building feature.

Stations were never intended in the game to be player owned - but that was years ago. I suspect things will have changed by now.

Interestingly they haven't sold land beacon claims for many years and only did it once I think (2017?) so perhaps still mulling over how they'd do it. Obviously it may be a case of them wanting it all to be bought in-game although given how money hungry they are I'd be surprised if that was the case.

I've not been playing a lot recently, a bit burnt out and there's so much due to change soon. I did do a mining Op with the org the other day which was great fun. I was in the hold of a Reclaimer for the first time stacking boxes and it was insanely fun for my ocd. There was a very large point of diminishing returns on stacking things in a tidy way. The box wiggle is a worthy foe

Even made a wee tunnel from the elevator entrance.
