*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

On the official Bioware forums, I've seen a lot of system recommendation topics where people are saying you should have at least 8GB of RAM, sometimes even as much as 16GB. From my limited understanding, the game only has a 32bit executable, doesn't this limit it to 4GB of usable RAM?

....was loving playing my Imp Agent Sniper...right up to last night when I hit what I am assuming is the end of Chapter 1....
The Darth Vadus fight has really got me annoyed. Managed to get through the first part of the fight and then disabled the first computer part, but keep getting snotted straight after that.

Has anyone any tips on how to get past this? Am currently at Level 33 and don't think I am under geared for it.

Have only tried it with Kaliyo so far. Is she the best companion to complete this one on? Seem to remember the end of chapter boss with my Jedi Guardian being a similar PITA

On an aside, what is the best way to level up here? Am wanting to try and get up to 50 on this toon before the expansion comes out. Am fairly casual in my playing, have to factor in wife-aggro to playing time :D

- Use XP buffs either through legacy or cartel market
- PvP to keep your valor at roughly your level (at least complete the daily)
- Do space missions to complete daily
- Do Flashpoint daily
- Complete Class quests

- Do not bother with any missions if they are Green or Grey. Just abandon them and move on to Yellow's and above if you are geared. Obviously you cannot abandon Class quests so just complete these asap if it is falling below your recommended level.

^ Doing the above means you will need to do very few side quests if any at all and you will level very quickly. Nice variety to gameplay, too.

- PvP to keep your valor at roughly your level (at least complete the daily) - Never done any PvP so not a clue where to start there
- Do space missions to complete daily - Kind of check but get's a bit boring
- Do Flashpoint daily - Never done the Flashpoints either as not really done much group play :p
- Complete Class quests - Working on it ;)

I still have fond memories about my old Imp. Sniper, but that fight was probably the worst experience I had in SWTOR, well that and the rage inducing 'cover bug' in Voidstar.

I remember just running around like a loon just trying to get out of the line of sight of the big bad guy. I think I used the weird insect chap as a meatshield, but it took a good dozen attempts for me to nail that fight at lvl 31/32. It was as close as I've ever come to throwing my mouse across the room. :D It is possible to complete the confrontation without fighting, if I remember correctly.

Kaliyo wasn't much use in that encounter, in fact she seemed to lose her usefullness past level 30. :(

Still playing it loads - have a level 50 of every class now so got to see all the stories; started to work towards gearing them all up now, my main is already BiS (that I can tell).

Still enjoying it loads, 1.7 this Tuesday and looking forward to the expansion later in the year :)
