*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

I used to play this with my tight-knight crew of friends. After we completed all the end-game content (heh...), PvP didn't appeal to me and I wandered off. Long story short, I wasn't able to force myself to get back into it.

I've since given it many opportunities, even subbed to lure myself back onto it... Can't do it.

I'm so sad about this fact.

I am still happily playing SWTOR.
I am a F2P customer playing just for the stories.

But a Jedi Knight is fun.
But a Sith Inquisitor even more so, laying waste every thing in my path.

Folks... when this went to F2P were credits capped? (Im sure I had a good few million credits).
If I subbed now would my credits return?
Ugh... 2 crew skills only? Really? Hmm.
Blimey have to even pay cartel coins to hide head slot?
Ah just found the credit "escrow thingy". At least thats good....

Credit Escrow if your F2P/Preferred.

There are a lot of restrictions on F2P for sure, somethings which just shouldn't be either (such as hide head slot) - there is a bundle you can buy on the Cartel Market and some people even sell it on the GTN (New Player Bundle or something?) - I've not checked it out as subbed but might be worth looking in to.

I actually couldnt believe what happened to me yesterday....

I have two characters ok? A maxed out Guardian Shadow.
And a level 9 Bounty Hunter.

Started playing with the Shadow, thinking ugh... what do I have to do? Got a ton of stuff to do such as respec, check my bank, rearrange my HUD etc....

And then I logged and loaded the bounty hunter.... and whilst loading my thoughts were "ugh cant be bothered with this...will have a quick go and then log and uninstall" but then started playing and once again got totally immersed and actually loved playing the bounty hunter....

Next thing you know?

1 month sub and also preordered Rise of the Hutt Cartels...
(btw - it seemed there were two options for purchasing RotHC, 11.99 or 5.99 for subscribers... but when I came to actually preordering, the 5.99 option dissappeared, and only 11.99 or 14.99 (which includes 1 month sub) were available.

After posting a complaint that I couldn't get into the game, I was forcing myself onto it. I joined another PVE guild, I PVP'd, I explored. Hated it.

Hopped on my low-level Powertech (I'd made long before it was flavour of the month), enjoyed the hell out of the game. Low-level PvP, gearing up, story quests. That's the absolute appeal of the game for me, and I'm usually an endgame gear/stat whore.

The F2P restriction are pretty limiting - especially if you were once on a sub.

I'm still really enjoying the game and have kept my sub rolling, the event this week could be good....depends on the implementation on illum though, lets hope its not back to the old zerg fest. Fingers crossed open world pvp is good as warzone get a bit dull after a while.

I worked out last night I'll need another 33 warzones to hit my next valor level, would be nice to get there at least partially through open world pvp instead!

Folks, how do I know if my class quest has been complete? I.e. how do I find out if I havent inadvertantly abandoned it...

You should be able to open up the quest log and check for class quest. I've never tried to abandon it though, didnt think you could!

What class is it you're playing, if you've not got the quest in your log we might be able to figure out where you got up to and where to get it back again.

Don't think its possible to abandon class quests.
What class are you, Guardian or Shadow? Can't be both at the same time :p

Two easy ways to see if class quest is complete though, if you are a Guardian and you have the Master title then you've completed it (doesn't apply to Shadows, they get Master a lot earlier).

Second (and this applies to all classes) the load screen text will tell you where in the story you are at.

Hey guys

I have a new build coming on Wednesday and was thinking of getting back into SWTOR.

I have a 50 sorc and a 50 assassin tank, and I haven't played on them for a good few months.

What's the state of the game like now? Is there anything beyond Denova? I really want to like it again but I felt like I hit a wall last time I was playing and there was nothing more to achieve.
