*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

Also Debating a switch on my operative from Cybertech > Armstech so I can crit craft some weapons - at the moment Armstech is only crew skill I don't have but if I do switch none of my toons will have Cybertech; but other then the grenades which are not all that - not sure really the long term use of Cybertech :/

4xBiochems
1xSynthweaving
1xArmormech
1xArtifice
1xCybertech

Is how my characters stand at the moment...

How would I go about making credits on this game, I never havd been the one to do a Aution House character does anyone have any suggestions?

Bit of buying and selling on the auctions has made me a pretty penny ;) don't underestimate what people will pay for brown gloves, bracers and belts - they seem to sell at whatever price you put! I bought out 2 items that were the only (with decent appearance) browns for their slot last night for around 2-10k a peice, sold instantly again for 50k a peice :) and thats just one example...

I have not done one crafting mission or even chose professions and I have lots of credits.

Cybertech are going to be crafting BoE mounts now. Mounts are increasing in cost and speeder licences are going cheap. Hopefully 'nades will be BoE too.

What is the point in having loads of credits in this game? Can you actually buy anything useful at level 50 or are they just for pimping out alts?

For Me:

Repairs! (Nightmare Raiding)

Rare Items (Esp at the moment, Mounts/White Crystal)

and sending them through to Alts for quicker Crew Skill Levelling / easier levelling time

Ooo I have a brown belt, or is that orange? It looks orange to me, is there also a more rare brown level?

I'm only level 16 though so I assume its not a very valuable item.

I assume he meant Orange - Bracers/Belt Oranges are rare (not as much now though) so they were selling for a lot, I sold a belt for 400,000 - in 1.2 you can buy them from Vendors though atm it's just random drops (other then Pilots belt from starship vedor on fleet)

When does the patch go live?

Is it what the game should have been at release?

No confirmed date, it's on the test server - they are expecting "April" though, i imagine late April

Cybertech, Underworld Trading and Scavenging are what my Republic and Empire character are invested in for crafting.

My BH has the same and she is making some pretty good credits too...:)

Selling 10 x Prototype Hyper-Battle Resolve Stims at 140,000 credits a stack.

Sitting at 6,000,000 credits at the moment.

Lurve Biochem.

That's very good. I think the others will get to the same level once the new patch arrives. They are doing some big changes on crafting.

I think for money making Cybertech really needs to have the higher level mods/armouring available to craft - all the PvP/PvE Tiered gear is better; the mount isnt that great either and BoP at the moment.

Just bought the game and got a level 14 Jedi Sentinel. Any recommended rebellion guids on Frostclaw? Ingame name is Seaking.
Also just started a level 4 empire infiltrator called NokTok (yes, one of the pipkins from Waybaloo!).
