That's a daft bit of business but possibly smart at the same time. They however can afford it, and to get somebody in better than Bellamy. That's rotten for his career most importantly and it's sort of out of order.
How is it out of order Bellamy has always wanted to go to Cardiff...read a few interviews..his wife and kids live there,We probably said your not going to a prem team so Cardiff,Celtic etc

Why? He's got a contract with City so they choose where he can and can't go.
As I said earlier in this thread, although the way in which it has come about it's ideal, it is refreshing to see a club deciding which club a player joins.

Cant Bellamy refuse the loan - surely he still has to sign a contract of sorts with Cardiff?
His family may well be close - but so is Liverpool / Manchester / AV / Birmingham
I cant see how he can be forced to play (even just on loan) for any club
(Im not suggesting that any player should be able to stop a particular transfer because its not where he wants to go - but completely different level of perfomance/playing ability should be wrong too), why not loan him to Wigan for eg, - no threat to City in any way, however good they do (wigan) they wont steal a CL place from City and wouldnt be able to play against City either)

He could buy his contract out and have the side that actually wants him repay him via a larger signing on fee.
