We'd have to buy him first :p

Don't think there's much truth in the Konchesky deal, although you never know. Plus, he's our only left back :/

Apparently we are going for rodellga from Fullham 9 million is steep though. I think hes useful but not that good

really? After just splashing cash I didn't know you had on Jones?
Does that mean Jones' injury was a nasty one? Sad if it is, no-one wants to see a player get injured on their debut...sorry..no-one wants to see players that don't play for Man City get injured on their deut.

I thought that Traore had a lot of promise but it never materialized. Happy to have Gibbs as our cover and he might even challenge for the starting position if he continues. Clichy has stuttered a bit with his performances/progression.

Would love to see Given come to us. Would rather we bedded in a new goale quickly though.

Yeah, it's a pity about Traore, he looked good for a bit but it blatantly isn't going to happen. Knowing Wenger though...

What do you guys think about the Fanshares 'promotion'?

Edit, dunno really. I'm pretty uncertain about it.

Daily Mash take on Craig Bellamy move

Craig Bellamy has completed his loan move from Man City to Cardiff after tests confirmed him to be the Welshest man on the planet.

Bellamy scored 12 goals for Man City
The Championship side had agreed to sign the tiny, agressive striker on condition his Welshness had not been diluted by time spent in cosmopolitan English cities like Manchester and Blackburn.

But tests found that Bellamy's blood sample contained an even higher level of Boyoclorians than Cerys Matthews, Charlotte Church and unusually-named BBC reporter Wyre Davies.
Bellamy said: "It's great to be back amongst people who won't blink an eye when I get angry for no reason and blame everybody else for my fictional problems.

"I look forward to getting them in a drunken headlock and stressing how much I love them while punching them in the face over and over again."
The striker will be officially unveiled to fans ahead of Saturday's match against Doncaster with the traditional Crmhylchmych ceremony.

Bellamy will be carried onto the pitch atop the shield of an ancient chieftan before eating a raw daffodil and screaming violent, groundless complaints into the face of an English tourist for eight minutes without repetition or vowels.

Cardiff manager, Dave Jones, said Bellamy would bring some local pride and unprovoked fury back to the team, adding: "vwvbu sffh wh fbfwyfnwd jbgyngf."

£26m & Ireland Villa got.

Ireland will reportedly get £500k not £2m.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/...-city-james-milner-stephen-ireland?CMP=twt_gu

And no Santa Cruz for Cities Europa League game, replaced by Balotelli. Sparky likes Cruz doesn't he syke? :D :D

YOu realise the story you linked says its a £26mil play + cash deal, as in Ireland + 18mil = £26 mil, it also says Ireland got half of the payout he was holding out for, half of 2 mil, = 1 mil.

How you came up with 26mil + ireland and half of 2mil being 500k I don't know.

Ridiculously good deal for Villa, Milner isn't particularly good in the middle and Ireland has the potential to be one of the best. A 7 goal season of which quite a few were penalties and people are creaming themselves over Milner.

Ireland had one bad year because he had a weird illness at the start of the season and Mancini wouldn't let him back in the team, the year before he scored 9 goals, 10 assists and was a damn fantastic player. He's still that same player and has only really had that one first team season, with 9 goals 10 assists.

Milners had 4 first team seasons already, he's a solid 3 goal a season player, with last season he added penalties and went way up to, 7, he won't be taking penalties at City, I wouldn't be surprised to see him around the 4-5 goal mark this season(if he even gets games) and I can see Ireland being far better than Milner this season.

I honestly think Ireland is a better player than Milner, my lord is he overrated.

Also, if Akinfeev joined United I would sex wee everywhere.

Villa need to buy a quality striker with the money. They're still weak in other areas but Carew and Abgblondfhfghaow ain't going to get them far.

Ireland is not a better player than Milner.....he was given numerous chances last year in his favoured position and didnt take them, played in pre season and didnt do anything....he had one good season 08-09 so i think its a bit unfair to say hes better than Milner who has good last year, decent year before? showed promise at Newcastle.

Ireland isn't half the player Milner is. However, he's decent in his position and £26m plus Ireland for Milner is a hideous amount.

Can someone explain the Beba transfer to me please, i've read that 6 weeks ago he signed for Vitoria Guimaraes on a free from a 3rd division team but 5 weeks after that he signs for Man U for 7 mil!! Is that true and if so WTF?

As good as correct yes

He was released from his former club, played a few pre-season games (and scored a couple of goals), & on recommendation of Portugal boss Carlos Quiroz, SAF snapped him up as RM and others were sniffing around

Believe deal adds up to £7m (incl add ons) , wouldnt be surprised if transfer was significantly lower though (£3-£5m) with rest on appearances / Int caps etc

As to why he was released initially not quite sure

Ireland is not a better player than Milner.....he was given numerous chances last year in his favoured position and didnt take them, played in pre season and didnt do anything....he had one good season 08-09 so i think its a bit unfair to say hes better than Milner who has good last year, decent year before? showed promise at Newcastle.

Over this season, and maybe even next few seasons (if each player is given a decent chance in the new team) I reckon they will be much of a muchness - maybe match by match there will be good/bad days as with most players, but its undoubtedly the case that AV benefitted greatly from that deal (£5-10m difference maybe -incl "British player" factor, £8m MORE unquestionably AV won significantly)

Im guessing Ireland is HG as well - so that doesnt come into it (he joined Man City at 15 - so sounds like it)
