I've always been a Goalkeeper, and he was my favourite. He is the one that got me interested in Arsenal (like I really knew who they were back then :D), he since became my favourite of all-time, and my interest in Arsenal becomes more and more.
 
Perhaps Rooney is angling for a sponsorship deal with WKD, you can see it now...

Fade In

Rooney lays back on the couch looking bored. A heavilyh pregnant Colleen is watching TV babbling inanely. A lightbulb pings. Rooney gets up and announces he is off to get some milk. Cut to Rooney walking up to the door of an anonymous hotel, where he gives the doorman a knowing nod. Fade out. Fade in, Rooney is exiting the hotel, where he adjusts his nether regions with one hand and with the other takes a swig of the latest hyperflourescent sugar-laden concoction they are desperately trying to market as a lads drink. The camera zooms in, Rooney turns to face the camera, smiles and winks.

'AVE YOU GOT A WKD SIDE???

Yes and no, the exchange of money for sexual services is not illegal, keeping a brothel however would be. The company who is supplying the young lady that Mr Rooney is alleged to have slept with is probably classed as pimping which is illegal so they could be in trouble, the girl is unlikely to be since she doesn't seem to be soliciting in a public place (although who knows what goes on in some of the clubs...?).

Because it never ever used to, suddenly appeared out of no where and now half the people covered end up in some scandal losing their sponsorship because in general EVERYONE gets into some trouble at some point, be it a fight after getting drunk, an affair.

Rooney, got his contracts after seeing several prostitutes and banging a grandma, while cheating on his future wife. Then got sponsorship based off being a whiter than white family man, then gets caught cheating on his pregnant wife with prostitutes.

Now you can't understand why I wonder how they decided this was someone who'd be a goody two shoes from now on, nor the simple fact that, despite banging a grandma a few years earlier, they've made a tonne of money with him in advertising, and they would continue to do so. Do you think anyone at all buying the next crappy console footie game with Rooney on the cover now won't because he got caught banging a prossie........ again?

maybe not console games, but other things like aftershave companies etc will want someone with a better public image. rooney is also only used on the front in the UK version of fifa. in spain its the likes of xavi, messi and ronaldo, italy its ronaldhino, del piero, etc. so im sure they could easily change rooney in the UK version to lampard if they wanted to.

is he not sponsored by some car company? he could easily lose that in this sort of situation. its all about public image, kerry katona was dropped from iceland, even though everybody already knew what she was like. if you have a good brand name, you dont want to be associated with a figure of hate or disgust, etc. it brings the value of your brand name down.
 
True as some of that maybe, Kate Moss after being on countless front covers with a load of white powder on her nose managed to get even more sponsors after a month and she's earning more then ever.

Rooney might lose an odd one here or there, but other companies will just fill the void.

To the average football fan when they look at Wayne Rooney they'll see the Man U and England star, not a husband who cheats on his wife. In the grand scheme of things it's pretty minor in todays society. We're used to seeing soldier die on the news, cats in bins, puppies thrown in rivers, films about mass murdered etc. Who cares (apart from the obvious people) who Rooney slept with.

We've all forgotten that Englands World Cup performance was all due to John Terrys affair and if Wayne Bridge had gone in his place we might have got further...

I think the term they use is "you are paying to spend time with the lady, what ever happens is between to consenting adults" you are not paying for sex but it just happens :D
