Yeh 60m for a Madrid reject :/
We paid 18m for Milner+Ireland who isnt worth 7m

You paid 14 million for a past it, old, Arsenal reject?

You paid the best part of 30 million for a Barca reject and 22 million for a inter reject?

You paid 20 million for Milner, who's not 20 million good :p

Ireland, was a far better player all round imho, and if you'd have kept him wouldn't of being on the look out for a decent attacking minded midfielder :p

However, more money then sense and a daft manager ;)

Well if you watched any games this year you would see Toure hasnt played badly and is showing his price tbh,
24m is best part of 30m? and i dont think he was a reject...and i would say we paid 22m for a future 'star' player if he sorts himself out
Ireland isn't a better player than Milner and never will be...he could have been great but couldnt be bothered.
I wouldnt say hes a daft manager..signed 2 really good youngsters, experienced players in positions we were lacking and improved the team as a whole

We've had this before ;)

No, for the daft amount of money City have spent (him* included) I think they could have gotten far better players in.

Toure is that bad, I'm seriously betting Wanger just couldn't say Qui quick enough when you offered 14 million. He's too old, could have looked to bring in a cultured centre back who was younger for a similar price.

Ireland, imho, was a far better all round player then Milner. Waste of money.

If I was going to pick a player to take from Villa - A. Young :)

* = the Italian.

Tummy quick question.

I have a massive soft spot for wednesday. I visited there in stoke's promotion season we drew the game and i was just amazed at the history and crowd at hillsborough.

Since then i have kept on eye on you. Looking at them now a striker partnership of mellor and morrison is surely more than good enough for league 1? Or have there ability steadily decreased over the years?

Also how is lewis buxton getting on? He was one of the worst defenders i have ever seen as stoke :D

Would you two just shut up? For god's sake every 5 pages we seem to have you two arguing about how everything City buy is a waste of money or how much Biz wants Balotelli's babies.

Well i disagree...i dont think there was anyone out there who is better than who we signed...
Well i guess we could have done better with Toure but he hasnt been a bad signing
I completely disagree
I would too but im not complaining with Milner tbh
and Shamikebab..start a new topic then? this thread is about transfers etc which we are talking about

I actually have started to rate Mellor, he's got decent feet for a lump, him and Tudgay up top

Morrison is decent, looks good but coming to the end of his footballing life (also looks really ****ing knackered after about 30 minutes :p) those three if fit should do fine, also got Heffernan who's decent. Should easily get enough goals to get back in to the Championship, despite the decent forwards our biggest "problem" is our midfield, which is fairly awful, and has been since you nicked Glenn from us, he's a good midfielder, really rated him. Coke who we got from Motherwell looks really good, easily Championship / lower Prem standard.

As for Buxton, well he's not got much better. I don't rate him at all, he's some how started though  really don't understand this. He turned out 2/3 utterly outstanding games last season, but was on the whole dog ****.

Yeah, we do have a pretty immense and loyal crowd at times :) always good fun being with Wednesdayites (such negative people :D)

As for History :) Yeah, it's nice but grates on me as I'd love to see us back challenging for things, but we actually have no money.
