To be honest i think Michael Bay's time is over, he was a decent director for the 90's and early 2000's but cinema goers tastes have changed now.
Can't agree with that at all.
Transformers: $150m budget, $708m to date (Rating 57% critics, 87% audience)
Transformers 2: $210m budget, $836m to date (Rating 20% critics, 76% audience)
Transformers 3: $195m budget, $162m in 4 days (Rating 38% critics, 90% audience). I predict it'll go on to match the previous ones given equal time (Especially as it's far better than Transformers 2).

Cinema-goers seem to eat them up, its the critics that dislike them. Big budget big action summer blockbusters have their place in this world just as much as the Sennas and Black Swans.

I saw this on Friday night and thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was.
