I have on mine, not had any issues and devices roam between AP without interruption :)
Cool, thanks

Any ideas on the guest network problem?

There's no option here for guest network thingy?

I think you have to create a second WiFi network. As you create it you should have an option to tick apply guest policies.

If you are still getting performance issues on 5G try upping your radio to VHT40 or VHT80. I would recommend a WiFi scan to check clear channels.

Not working unfortunately even on a new network. Strange issue.

They were set on VHT40, now VHT80 and no improvement :/

I assume you’ve done the updates? What channel strengths? Auto? Also have you tried different clients. I found my MacBook Pro always got max speed compared to my Windows laptop.

All updates. I've tried on high and auto, and run the integrated channel scan thing. I guess after that I should leave the channels as auto as well?
Tried different clients yep, just seems really inconsistent even in the same place geographically

And if you Ethernet straight to your router you get the 500? And I assume you’re right next to your point to rule that out. I only have 220/20 with VM but I do get that on my wireless. I have two points in the loft and UDM downstairs.

Yep, normally get around 550 at a good time, 500 normal. Right next to both the points

Ok, I currently have an ageing CCTV system with old analogue HD dome cameras and a recorder box thing in the garage. It's in need of replacement with something more modern.
As my home Wifi could also do with some upgrading I'm figuring I may do both together.

My plan is thus a couple of cameras, one front, one rear, up high. The cables for these can easily be run through the end walls into the loft space.
I'd then put an AC Pro in a first floor ceiling and run all three cables in the loft to a Switch Flex, then run the uplink from this down into my home office on the first floor. I already have a switch here but no PoE so not sure if I'd get something like a US-8-150W or just an injector to service the Flex in the loft.
I'd then have the Cloud Key Gen2 Plus but this would likely sit in the garage as it won't be silent. Already have server and networking out there.
If Wifi coverage downstairs is a problem then I'd just add something like a Flex HD freestanding in the living room. Again networking there.

First question is, does all this sound reasonable/sensible and am I missing anything?

Secondly, regards cameras, is the G4 Pro worth twice the price of the G4 Bullet? The latter seems to give a decent uptick in resolution over HD cams but not sure if full 4K is really worth double the wonga.

Can you try switching off one point and trying that and vice versa with the other point?
No help, one point is limited to 100, the second does around 220ish which I am happy with. Might be one of my switches so I will check with an ethernet cable what speed I am getting

In terms of roaming, should the APs be set to the same channel for better roaming?

Someone may correct me but I would avoid the same channel to avoid causing interference between the two APs.

Really struggling with these to be honest. The roaming isn't anywhere near as good as it should be even when I go and stand literally next to the other AP

Clients are pretty stupid, they will hang onto the connected ap as long as possible.

Tweak the radio output powers so that the overlap is minimal forcing the client to jump / swap.

If you have large overlap most clients won’t switch.
